I slowly began to draw back to full consciousness. Although my eyes had been swollen shut, I could feel Lexa's short whimpered breaths on my body. I fluttered my eyelids open to see her kneeling over me, crying this time. They weren't small tears of anger or frustration. These tears were sad tears.

"I am so sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen." She cried out. Lexa had placed the remaining cloth from her torso, and tied them to my bleeding wounds. What remained on her upper body was a large bandage, wrapped around her breasts. I couldn't help but smile to myself.

I lifted my hand weakly and wiped away the tears that came streaming down her cheeks.

"Shhhh. It's okay" I assured her.

"What I did on the mountain was forgivable Clarke, But falling in love with you wasn't" She turned her head away, avoiding eye contact. Although she still cried, her cheeks had become flushed.

I had become speechless. I looked at the beautiful brunette and couldn't help but feel a chill race up my body. Lexa had proclaimed her love for me, hadn't she?

After noticing the awkward period of silence, Lexa wiped away her tears, smudging away her warpaint. She then made an attempt to stand up weakly, but collapsed a few feet next to me.

I quickly reached out for her, but she rejected my hand and looked away.

"We need to get out of here if we want to survive." I announced firmly.

"Go then"

"You are coming with me" I glared at Lexa.

"I have nothing left to lose."

"You have ME." I slashed at her.

It obviously took her by surprise because her head jolted around and glared at me hard. Though I could tell it wasn't a serious glare. It had at one point softened, giving me the indication that she was effected by my words.

"You think that your feelings are mutual, yet here I stand. After all that you've done, I am still here to protect you Lexa. Why don't you see that?" I questioned her in a stern tone.

"You need to be quiet Clarke. They will here you and continue their punishment." Lexa said, attempting to change the subject.

"No, this is your turn to be quiet. After YOU left ME standing there ALONE on Mt.Weather, I felt nothing more than pain. YOU CHOSE THAT DEAL OVER MY LIFE! I bet you knew that there was a chance I would die up there! Yet you didn't even come back to see if I was okay? You lost Costia, you felt the pain." I began to feel a hot burning sensation from behind my eyes, but I pushed the broiling tears away to make room for the supply of anger.

Just as I had ended giving Lexa my emotional speech, the rocks above had begun to shake around a bit again. Each pebble that dropped down, opened up passageways for the sunlight to shine through.

"Get down Clarke"

"You don't command me. Let them torture me if that is what they wish" I cussed back at Lexa.

But as the figure dropped down from the ground level, I realized that it wasn't time for me to be beaten again. No, It was much worse than that.

"Bellamy?"
