Chapter 11- Blood Thirsty

-LUCY'S POV-

The body of Derek.

Somehow, that name felt right to me.

It fit in my mind like the last piece of a puzzle I had been trying to figure out.

Still, I was horrified.

Body?

Was he dead? Why does the necklace thief want us to see him?

I pictured a decaying body lying in a creaky old coffin with cobwebs.

That didn't feel right.

Something in my gut was driving me to go see him.

Why?

-CAMILLE'S POV-

I watched as different emotions played across Lucy's face.

At first she looked scared, then calm.

Confused, scared again, and then back to normal.

I wondered what she was thinking about.

We were all silent, until Alex spoke up.

"How are we going to find that meadow?"

"Well, we aren't going today." I replied.

He huffed.

"Maybe we can go after school one day." Lucy shrugs. "Hyde Park? My aunt lives there, it's not that far away."

"Let's do that then." Eleanor says.

"Okay.. What day?" I ask everyone.

"Wednesday? We are all free then." Lucy said excitedly, which made me suspicious.

"You seem rather excited about a body." I pointed out.

"Just curious." She lies. I can tell by the way she bites her lip and looks away.

"Ouch!" She cries out.

"What?" I ask.

"I just bit my lip! It hurt."

"You didn't bite it that hard." Eleanor says.

"I know.." She trails off.

Removing her finger that was pressed there, we saw blood stream down her chin.

I licked my lips. "I'm hungry." I mumbled out of no where.

"Let's get food then." Alex says, clearly trying to distract me.

I snap out of my trance and look away.

Alex grabs my hand.

"Come on."

We all walk out of the trees and find a restaurant near the station.

While we eat, I think about my reaction to Lucy's blood.

Was I blood thirsty?
