No instruments

Later, we found out we weren't allowed to use any instruments when Mrs Matthews said,

"Girls, as much as I think, you're all brilliant using the instruments, unfortunately the Audition Judges just want to hear your voices. This means no instruments please."

We were again in her room for some urgent information. It was a good thing, we hadn't got very far with our instruments. She carried on talking,

"If you are seen using an instrument to help with the beat etc, you are disqualified. Harsh, I know but they are the rules. Just remember- use only your tummy to sing/ rap at the Audition!"

We all nod, this is better. Maybe, Dani has a question-

"Will there be any pianist or anything? Background music or background singers?"

Everyone was curious as we all leant forwards in our seats to hear the answer. She replied,

"No, there will be no background singers or a pianist but you can have background music. Only the tune, no words in case you forget and etc."

Okay, that is not that bad. At least, it's not just our voices heard and that means less work for us. We only have to learn the song, compose some rap and practise it together! She hadn't finished talking,

"1 tip, the most important thing, they are looking for is how high/ low you can go and how long you can keep it. It doesn't matter if you can keep the note longer or if you start the song with higher oktas. That's what they're looking for!"
