Fanfiction Turned Into Reality?

"Hey Ars." Nagulat ako nang may tumawag sakin.

And with that voice, I know exactly who it is.

I immediately wiped my tears and faced the guy who just called me, Thomas. The one and only Thomas Christopher Torres. We've been friends since the day na sinamahan niya ko papunta sa gym when we were freshmen, 3 years ago. Since then, we became closer, pero just as friends lang.

But I don't think I could handle us being just friends anymore.

Samahan mo pa nitong pagbabasa ko ng fanfics na gawa ng mga fans namin na pinagtatambal kami.

"Hey." I tried composing my voice, but failed.

"Umiiyak ka ba?" He asked as he sat beside me on the stone benches somewhere here inside our university. Yung medyo tagong part where no one would usually pass by. Tambayan na rin namin ni Thomas madalas.

Thomas really knows kapag umiyak ako, kapag malungkot ko, or when something bothers me. Halos kabisado na niya nga bawat galaw ko kaya ang hirap din magsinungaling dito. Isang bagay lang ang natatago ko sakaniya, and you might have guessed it right. Yes, it's my feelings towards him. Yung feelings na hindi ko inakalang mararamdaman ko towards him.

"Hindi ah." I denied.

"Weh!" He poked me on the side. "Fanfic nanaman noh?" He was right so I nodded.

We're both athletes of our schools and star players kung tawagin that's why we're a bit famous and we have fans who knows we're friends at ayun nga, they keep on telling na bagay daw kami, bakit daw hindi pa maging kami, which led them to creating fictional stories of us being together instead. Pero bakit nga ba hindi maging kami? I laugh every time I think about that thought. Pakiramdam ko din kasi friends lang talaga kami, pero ewan ko, malay natin.

Anyway, these fanfics, Thomas and I find it amusing and entertaining and sometimes funny. Ang dami naming nagiging roles through these fanfics ah. The fans may not know it but yes, we're reading some of their stories.

"Kakatapos ko lang kasi basahin nitong Stronger." I showed him my phone and he let out a small laugh.

Naging pampalipas boredom na din kasi namin ni Thomas yung pagbabasa ng fanfics. Nakakacurious din kasi kung anong iniisip samin ng fans. Nung una awkward kaya minsan Thomas and I would make a joke of ourselves nalang sa mga fanfics. Imagine, it's me and him having a relationship how could I possibly imagine that? At first, it was really awkward talaga to read the stories. Pero as I got to read through some of them, magaganda naman yung kwento kaya nakakalimutan kong ako pala and si Thomas yung bida. To be honest, minsan kinikilig talaga ako imagining Thomas doing stuff like that to me in real life, which was impossible so sige hanggang dito nalang sa fanfics.

"Last week ko pa yan natapos eh. Buti you can read it pa? It has been deleted daw eh. Our fans we're going crazy about it." Inakbayan naman ako ni Thomas at nginitian ako.

"Ewan ko. Naka-save na din kasi siguro sa phone ko. Nakakaiyak noh? Nagka-amnesia ako. Nakalimutan kita." I gave him a frown which made him chuckle.

"But we still ended up together. I know naman na I'll always be in your heart and you as well, in mine."

Lumayo naman ako sakaniya and acted as if I'm disgusted with what he said. "Ahck! Ang cheesy!" He laughed.

"Sinong mas cheesy? Ako ngayon or ikaw na bigla biglang susugod sa dorm tapos umiiyak tapos bigla mo kong niyakap and you told me na Thomas wag mo kong iiwan ah? Thomas please." He said, imitating the way I said those words to him.
