David POV

Three years. Yeah. What Maggie initially planned as just one year of extension became three years of extension and I had no way of stopping her. I know that she is happy and enjoying her work, being able to  "save up" for the future.

What can I do? Love has taught me to extend my patience, to understand, to sacrifice.

Long distance relationship is challenging. There were those days though when I would think of going to Dubai and just settle there with her where we can start our own family but I didn't. I respect her decision and I am willing to wait. I would endure my longing for her.

The past 3 years have been fruitful years both for Maggie and I. While she is enjoying her work in Dubai, I am expanding my business and attended Bible school at the same time.  The tutorial center is now with coffee shop and a bookstore. I tried to pattern it after Maggie's plan before.

I guess God is just giving me time to get more involved in the ministry. Last year, by God's grace, we started putting up small learning centers in some slum areas here in Manila together with other youth pastors.
word of God.

She said na masaya siya na I'm a Youth Pastor now and she would be happy to be a Pastor's wife pero minsan naiisip ko, kung ang dream ni Maggie ay magkaroon ng travel agency at magtravel sa buong mundo, paano naman kaya naming gagawin yun together? You know, fulfilling our dreams while serving God.

"Hey Pas. Ang lalim ng iniisip mo ah. You didn't even know that I am here in your office."

"Oh. Thirdy. It's you.

"I am still praying for Amanda pastor but my mom and dad are good. Malakas pa rin si Dad. And the reason why I am here is because they will be celebrating their 25th year. Pwede ba dito Pas sa cafe mo? Ako kasi ang sponsor ng gastos."

"Oo naman. "

"Talaga Pas? Bibigyan mo ba ko ng discount?"

Thirdy and his family is a testimony kung gaano katapat ang Diyos sa ating mga anak niya. I learned that George, his dad,  is an HIV Positive and it was indeed a struggle for the whole family, pero nalampasan nila. George is still alive and hindi mo kakakitaan ng kahinaan. Active na active silang family. Kaya sa tuwing nakikita ko ang family na to, naaalala ko si Maggie and the family that we will have.

"Pas, natulala ka na ah. Wag kang mag-alala pas, mahal ka nun."

"Ikaw talaga. Alam ko namang mahal ako nung tao eh. Iniisip ko lang ang future naming."

"In love ka talaga pas."

"I am."

"I know. It shows Pas. Daig mo pa nga akong kiligin kay Amanda eh."

Thirdy and I both laughed.

Oh. God. A complaining customer. Help me to deal with the person. Please.
