"I love you, Jenn." He says and leans in.

I do too and we kiss. We break apart, and before I had time to say it back, he got got down on one knee.

"Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, will you marry me?" He says opening a velvet box with a beautiful ring in it.

"Oh my god! Yes! Of course I will! I love you so much, Joshy!" I say and hug him.

We go to his house and Josh starts kissing me furiously somehow we made our way up to his room. And let's just say we had a fun night.

After we are done, we cuddle with each other and fall into a peaceful sleep.

* * *

I wake up with a start. I look around and see that I'm in my room. No naked Josh besides me. No ring on my finger. My blinds 3/4 open.

It was all a dream. But what did it mean? I only like Josh as a friend? Right? This is all so confusing.

*ring ring!*

My phone rings and the ID caller shows Josh' name. I click the answer button.

"Hey, Platypus!" Josh says.

"Hey, Joshy bear! What up?" I reply trying not to think of my dream.

"You up for some pizza?"

"Hell yeah!!!!"

"Ok. Meet you in Pizza Hut in 15?"

"Bye, candy whore!"

"See you in 15, Hun!" I say and hang up.

I get ready fast. Just put a random shorts and shirt and head down to Hut.

When I get there I spot Josh.

"Boyfriend!" I greet.

"Security!" He exclaims and we both laugh.

We sit down and do our normal nonsense talk. From time to time, I find myself starting at him. Wishing he'd kiss. Trying not to think of my dream and how good it felt to be with him in that way.

Our pizza gets there soon enough and we practically swallow it entire.

"What about we go on a walk to the park?" Josh say.

"Sure." I say.

We pay the check and get in my car. I still don't trust Josh's motorcycle. He is the one driving though.

"Well, now we have one of the most requested Maroon 5 songs I was Always You." The radio booms and the song starts.

Just as the song finishes, I realize, that's what happened to me. I always saw Josh just as a friend. Or so I thought. Mobutu the truth is I've always loved him as more than a friend. It's true when people say I don't have a filter. I say what I want.

I have to tell him. Even if he doesn't say it back.

"We're here, Platypus. Are you ok?" Josh asks sweetly.

"Yes. Let's go." I say.

We walk silently for a while, both deep in thought.

"Jenn..." Josh suddenly says. "I don't think we can be friends anymore."

"What?! Why?!" I say.

"I'm sorry. It's just..."

"What Josh?" I say trying not to cry.

"We can't be friends anymore because I'm in love with you, Jennifer. I just can't be like this anymore. I know you probably don't feel the same way so..." He says but I cut him of with my lips.

"I'm in love with you, too, Josh." I say and we kiss again.

"Jenny bear, would you be my girlfriend?" Josh asks.

"Of course I will, boyfriend." I say and we laugh.

Later that night, let's just say that if I was a virgin, I would've lost my virginity to Josh.

Epilogue

*9 years later*

"Lily! Rayan! Dinner will be ready soon! Come downstairs!" I yell.

A few seconds later my 8 year-old, brown haired and blue eyed boy, he looks a lot like his father, and my 5 year-old, blonde and hazel eyed girl come down.

"Did you guys do everything you had to?" I ask my children.

"Yes, mommy." They say in unison.

"Honey! I'm home!" My lovely husband tells as he gets here.

"Daddy!" My children yell and run to great their dad.

I enter the room to find my favorite thing, my children in Josh's arms. He lets go of them and approaches me.

"Hey, Platypus." Josh says and kisses me.

"Hey, Joshy bear." I say.

We eat dinner like the family we are and I thank that song that made me realize my feelings for him.
