Alex sighed as she rubbed her eyes and stared at the laptop trying and retyping. She looked up as Caroline and Tyler walked in with the sword wrapped in an old blanket.

"Oh, thank God you two are here, I can't seem to find anything, but now you have the sword it might help a little." Alex tried to smile.

"Well, if it isn't little orphan Lockwood. Come to show how laughably impotent you are against me?" Klaus spoke from his position on the coffee table. Bonnie's spell still keeping him at bay.

"I'm just trying to help my friends find the cure." Tyler sighed.

Caroline joins Alex on the couch and she sets up her laptop as well and Tyler reveals the sword to them.

"Found this, in your attic."

"And you think finding the sword brings you closer to the cure?" Klaus laughed maliciously.

"You tell me. I was playing around with the handle on the ride over, and I found this." Tyler unwraps the leather on the top of the sword, revealing some sort of device that turns. Klaus gets up and walks to Tyler.

"And what do you think 'this' is?" Klaus asked.

Alex glared at him and stood up walking her way over to Tyler and Klaus.

"It's called a cryptex. It's been years since I've seen one up close." Alex raised her eyebrows. "That was something I will never forget. Anyway, if I remember rightly, you turn different sides to the symbols to get the translation on the other side. Unfortunately I only briefly remember the language so..."

"With the magic of the internet.." Caroline piped up. "Elena sent me over these." She held out prints of Jeremy's tattoo. "So now all we have to do is cryptex away. If you happened to want to help, we wouldn't stop you."

Klaus laughed. "Right. Well, might I suggest using the magic of the internet to purchase an Aramaic-to-English dictionary from your nearest retailer?"

Tyler furrowed his brows. "What's Aramaic?"

Alex narrowed her eyes at Klaus. "It's a dead language; it hasn't been used since biblical times."

"Qetsiyah's native tongue, I'm guessing. You know, even if you had the best dictionary in the world, it could take days to translate." Klaus taunted and sat down. "Perhaps weeks. "In bas so-teen-too ara-ma-eet."

"What does that mean?" Tyler asked.

Klaus grinned. "If only you spoke Aramaic."

"Okay, this is it. We've translated all the symbols on the tattoo...Passage inside... requires a young senator, and a pretty flower...Okay none of this makes sense!" Caroline grabbed her hair frustratingly.

"It's okay Caroline, we'll figure it out." Alex slightly smiled.

""Requires a powerful witch and a hunter in full bloom." Klaus translated.

"What are you doing?" Tyler asked angrily.

"I don't need to tell you my reasons. Alexandra. Bring my sword over here." Klaus demanded.

Alex sighed and picked up the sword. "You're not going to bite me again are you?"

Klaus gazed into her gorgeous eyes. "Don't tempt me."

"Silas rests on the far side, the means of his destruction at hand." Klaus glanced at the computer screen containing Jeremy's pictures. "Turn the cryptex to the right." Alex obliged. "Stop. The top of the hilt reveals a key to a nautical map. Turn it to the left."
