Detention *

Kira's POV

When the bell rang at the end of school, i dropped off my books at my locker and pulled out my phone. I dialed Andrew's number, he picked up on the thrid ring. "Hey sis, where are ya?"

"At my locker, but i just called to tell you that i have detention, so you'll have to come pick me up at three thirty."

I heard him sigh, "What'd you do?"

"Nothing i was just late to class is all, you remember how Ms. Gen is"

"What? cold, lacking emotion, and has a million rules, yeah i remember." He sighed again, "fine I'll pick you up. Just behave."

It was my turn to sigh, "Whatever, love yah bro." I hung up the phone and began my walk to the ISS room. I'd only been there once before in the ninth grade for 'arguing with the teacher'. That made me sound like some rebelious kid, which was not at all the case. I was a A-B average student, who took two AP classes, and spent her free time either babysitting or reading.

I glanced up the the leering door with ISS ROOM printed on the window, i took a deep breath and turned the handle, entering detention. I kept my head low and walked over to the desk where the 'security' lady sat. I handed her the yellow slip with my name on it, and she motioned for me to take a seat.

I took a seat in the back, since several in the front were already taken. My eyes scanned the others in the room. I had to admit, it wasn't as bad as i had thought. The few kids in the front looked harmless, and were probably here for reasons like mine. But then there were a few that looked at home here, A boy with snake bites and spiked hair sat to my left, a shorter girl with long blonde hair sat in front of me, her hair was streaked with pink and blue, and she wore combat boots on her feet.

Glancing over to my left sat a boy with blonde hair, which was spiked in the front, i did a double take, he was georgous. He looked like he could be a jock, with his build and good looks, well, if it wasn't for the silver lip ring. I took in his face, which was like porcelin it was so smooth.

He turned to face me, his deep blue eyes catching mine. I blushed, turned around, and sank a little in my seat. I heard him chuckle slightly. The sound sent a shiver up my spine, his voice was deep and mesmerising. I turned to look at him again, and this time caught him looking at me. I smiled. He stuck out his hand, "I'm Jared,"

I took his hand in mine and shook it gently, "Kira,".

He smiled and nodded in response. I turned to the front to see the blonde staring at me, "Who's this cutie Jared?" She asked, never taking her eyes off me. "I'm Kira," I responded. She nodded and scanned me again. I noticed she had a stud pierced on the corner of her eye brow, and the front of her hair was streaked also. "Gwen," She said. "I think we might just become friends," With that she turned back to the front and we sat in silence for the rest of the hour.

Caleb's POV

I was walking to my car with Drew when his phone rang, he dug around in his bag untill he pulled it out and was able to answer. "Hey sis," He waited a few seconds, then sighed heavily, "What'd you do?", he paused,  "What? cold, lacking emotion, and has a million rules, yeah i remember." He sighed again, fine I'll pick you up. Just behave." He brought a hand up to his face and rubbed a tired hand across his eyes. He looked up and motioned for me to start the car. 

I turned around and slid into the drivers seat of my car and started it up. Drew slid into the passangers seat, "Whats goin on Drew?" I asked while backing out of our spot.

"Kiras got detention."

"So?" I asked, not seeing the big deal.

"So, if they call home my my mom will flip, She'll say she's 'ruining her chances at a good college', trust me it happened to me."

"Oh...What'd the rebel do this time?" I asked with a slight smirk.

"She was just late to class." He reached over and turned on the radio, and began searching for a station he liked. When he found one he cranked up the volume and sat back.  I took that as my que to stop the conversation.

Once we got back to Drews place, we sat down and watched TV. We were in the middle of a show when Drew's phone rang. He picked up, "Hello?"....."Tonight?"...."Oh, ok. Yeha ill be there."..."Goodnight sir."

"What's going on now?"

"I gotta go in to work," He looked up at the clock. "Crap, i'm supposed to pick Kira up in a half hour." He looked up at me. "Can you pick her up for me?"

I smiled, "Sure, not like im doing anything else tonight."

Truth is I was plenty happy to pick Kira up, that meant to got to see her at least a little today.

Thirty minutes later i pulled up in front of the school, I sat there idling for a few minutes before i unbcukled and went inside. I walked through the maze of hallways. I passed a girl in all balck, who winked at me as we passed each other. I shook my head and kept walking untill i came to the one that had i the ISS room, i stopped when i heard voices, and peeked around the corner.

Kira's POV

When the lady released us i walked out of the detention room. I started to walk away when someone grabbed my arm, turning I found Jared and Gwen looking at me. "Hey," said Gwen, "You wanna hang out with us sometime?"

"I dont know..."

She looked at her phone, "I gotta go, but think it over." With that she walked away.

I looked up at Jared, he took a step closer, "Come on, hang out with us."

I looked up at him, his tongue touched his lip ring and played with is, which made my heart race. He seemed like he senseed this and stepped closer, making my heart sped up even more. "I - i guess i could hang out sometime."

He smiled, "Good, because i have a feeling that we could get along real well." He took my hand and brought it up to his face, he turned it over and kissed my palm. My breath hitched. He smiled and walked away.

Caleb's POV

looking over i saw a tall, lean boy standing by Kira, i couldnt hear what they were saying, but he stepped closer, i could see her hands shake slightly. He stepped closer still and kissed her palm, i could see her eyes go wide, and he smiled, and walked away.

When he passed me, our shoudlers bumped, "whatch it." I said. then walked around the corner and ran into Kira, "Who was that?"

She looked up at me, trying to look innocent, but i could see the hint of excitment in her green eyes. "Jared, we were just talking." She smiled and began walking. I shook my head, not at all liking it, but letting it go.
