It felt good to finally open up about your past, even if it was just the tip of the iceberg. Danielle's presence and embrace had provided the comfort you needed, and you truly appreciated it, though you felt a bit embarrassed thinking about how pitiful you must have looked sobbing in her grasp.
As you walked to school peacefully, you suddenly heard a bell ringing, followed by a familiar voice.

You stopped to let Danielle catch up. She slowed down her pedaling and stopped beside you.
"Good morning, Y/N!" she greeted you with her usual cheery attitude and bright smile.
"G-good morning, Danielle," you replied timidly, your eyes fixated on her bike, which you somehow had never noticed before. "Did you always ride that to school?"
"Oh, this bad boy? I used to ride it to school last year until I crashed it trying to race with Hanni, so I never really had the chance to use it," she giggled, patting the handlebar like a pet. "But thanks to my dad, it feels and rides good as new!"
"That's great, it actually looks nice," you complimented, earning a thank you from her.
"Just to be clear, does this mean you also consider me as your friend now?"
You pondered her question. It had been so long since you had a friend, but one thing was certain...
"Yeah, you're my friend now," you answered truthfully.
"Let's goooo!" she celebrated cheerfully, throwing her hands in the air, making you smile widely.
Her aura radiated so much positivity that you couldn't help but be infected by it, especially after the moment you two had shared yesterday. It felt right to be a bit more open towards Danielle compared to others.
