Y/N POV

You sweat nervously, your mind racing trying to figure out a way to escape. You frantically looked around as Danielle slowly but surely narrowed the gap between you two.

'Wait, I could just tell her to leave me alone, like last time!' You thought, mustering up the strength to tell her off. "Danielle, just leave me alo-"

"No, I don't want to," she interjected, her tone low and serious. As a last resort, you attempted to juke her into escaping through the door, but every side and corner you went, she was there to block your way.

You did a spin move, only for her to catch your arm and spin you back towards her. The force of your spin caused the both of you to fall to the ground, with her being on top of you.

You tried to use your remaining energy to push her off of you but Danielle caught your hands and pinned them beside your hand.

"I finally caught you," Danielle muttered, her glistening eyes staring right at yours. "You're not going to escape this time."

As Danielle held you down, frustration bubbled up inside you. "Let me go, Danielle," you demanded, your voice edged with irritation.

She shook her head, her grip firm. "Not until you talk to me," she insisted, her tone unwavering.

"I don't want to talk," you shot back at her, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt. "Please let go of me-"

"Why are you avoiding me?" Danielle's voice trembled with a mixture of sadness and confusion, her eyes searching yours for an answer that you couldn't bring yourself to give. "Why do you keep running away every time I try to talk to you?"

You shifted uncomfortably under her gaze, the weight of her words pressing down on you like a heavy burden. Your silence stretched on, the truth weighing heavily on your conscience but remaining stubbornly lodged in your throat.

"I don't understand," Danielle continued, her voice barely above a whisper, "what did I do to make you shut me out like this?"

Guilt gnawed at your insides as you watched the hurt etch itself onto Danielle's features, the pain in her eyes cutting through the walls you had erected around your heart. But still, you couldn't find the words to explain, couldn't bear to risk shattering the fragile peace that had settled between you.

"Please, Y/N," Danielle pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion, "I just want to help. But I can't do that if you won't let me in."

A lump formed in your throat, your resolve waning in the face of her unwavering sincerity. Still, you hesitated, the fear of vulnerability holding you back from taking that final leap of faith.

But as you gazed into Danielle's eyes, softened by sadness and filled with an earnest desire to mend whatever rift had formed between you, something shifted within you. The weight of your silence became unbearable, the walls you had built crumbling under the weight of her unwavering love and concern.

With a trembling breath, you finally found the strength to speak, your voice barely a whisper but carrying the weight of a thousand unspoken truths. "Fine," you conceded, the admission a reluctant surrender to the vulnerability that lay beneath the surface. "I'll talk."

Danielle's eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of hope sparking within them as she leaned in closer, her expression a mix of anticipation and apprehension.

"Really?" she breathed, her voice tinged with disbelief and relief. You nodded slowly, a wave of emotion washing over you.

"Yeah," you whispered, your voice steadying with newfound determination. "Yeah, let's talk."

After a moment of quiet anticipation, you take a deep breath, the weight of your decision heavy on your shoulders. Meeting Danielle's eyes, you begin to speak, your voice hesitant but resolute.

"It's because I'm scared," you finally confessed, the admission leaving a bitter taste on your tongue.

Danielle's expression softened even further as she heard your confession, a tender understanding reflected in her eyes. Without a word, she released her hold on you, gently helping you up onto your feet.

"Scared of what?" she softly asked, careful to not put too much pressure on you.

You hesitated, the raw vulnerability of your emotions laid bare before her. "Scared of opening up, of letting someone in," you confessed, your voice barely above a whisper. "Scared of getting hurt."

As you stood there, still reeling from the weight of your admission, Danielle stepped closer, her presence a reassuring anchor in the storm of your emotions.

"I understand, Y/N," she murmured, her voice a soothing balm to your fractured soul. "You can tell me anything. I'll listen."

Her words wrapped around you like a warm embrace, offering solace in the face of your vulnerability

Her words wrapped around you like a warm embrace, offering solace in the face of your vulnerability. Tears welled in your eyes as you felt the weight of her unconditional support, a sense of gratitude washing over you like a tidal wave.

With a shaky breath, you met Danielle's gaze, a glimmer of hope sparking within you. "Thank you," you whispered, your voice filled with emotion.

Taking a moment to collect your thoughts, you steadied yourself, preparing to bare your soul to Danielle for the very first time.

"Alright," you murmured, your voice a blend of determination and vulnerability, as you prepared to open up to her in ways you had never did before.
