Shehnaaz was sitting sadly in her room leaning against the bedpost. She was trying not to think about today's incident but Sid's words were echoing in her ears.

"Humein aap se mohabbat hai."

"Woh pehli nazar wala mohbbat hota hai na, woh ho gaya hai aap se."

And Shehnaaz knew that he not only said those words but he meant it. She saw true love in his eyes. Did she break his heart by rejecting his proposal?

A lone tear escaped her eyes.

"Shehnaaz! Hum kab se awaz laga rahi hai tujhe. Jawab kyu nahi de rahi?" Said Mariyam Ji entering the room which broke Shehnaaz's thoughts.

She immediately wiped her tears and said, "Sorry Ammi. Humein sunai nahi diya."

"Dhyan kidhar rehta hai tera? Hum dinner ke liye bula rahe the."

"Ammi humein bhukh nahi hai. Aap khaa lo."

Mariyam Ji became worried hearing that. She sat near Shehnaaz and touched her forehead.

"Bukhar toh nahi hai. Koi aur takleef hai? Baata mujhe." She said.

Shehnaaz smiled slightly and said, "Ammi hum thik hai. Humara bas mann nahi hai."

Mariyam Ji understood that her daughter was sad and asked, "College mein kuch hua hai kya? Kisi ne kuch kaha?"

"Nahi Ammi, aisa kuch nahi hai. Aap kar lo na dinner. Humein baad mein bhukh lagegi toh hum kha lenge."

"Chal thik hai. Lekin agar koi baat hai toh tu apni iss best friend se share kar sakti hai."

Shehnaaz chuckled and said, "Paata hai humein."

Mariyam Ji smiled and kissed Shehnaaz's forehead. Then she left from there.

After sometime, Shehnaaz's phone started ringing. It was an unknown number.

She picked up the call and said, "Hello kaun?"

"Aap ne iss Nikah se inkar kyu kiya?" Asked Sid straight.

Shehnaaz's face turned pale. She understood it was Sid.

Instead of giving reply, she asked, "Aap ko humara number kaha se mila?"

"That doesn't matter. Aap bas humare sawal ka jawab di jiye. Kyu kiya aap ne inkar?"

Shehnaaz sighed and said, "Humein iss baare mein koi baat nahi karni."

Before Sid could say anything else, Shehnaaz hanged up. She couldn't tell him why she rejected the marriage proposal. She had no other option left. She did it for Nusrat.

Flashback...

Shehnaaz happily entered the house. She was very much excited to tell her mother about Sid. Maybe Sid's family had already sent marriage proposal to her mother. Shehnaaz was thinking what her reaction would be.

She was about to go upstairs but stopped near Nusrat's house hearing something.

"Humein malum tha Ammi. Woh Shehnaaz humesha se humse jalti hai. Isliye mauka milte hi humare Sid ko uss ne chhin liya." Said Nusrat angrily making Shehnaaz shocked.

"Nusrat! Dimag kharab ho gaya hai tera? Kuch bhi bolti hai. Iss mein bechari Shehnaaz ki kya galti?" Said Nagma Ji.

"Ammi aap jaanti nahi hai usse. Shakal se jitni bholi dikhti hai, andar se utni hi shatir hai. Uski nazar toh tab se Sid pe hai jab hum ne usse unki photo dikhayi. I'm sure, jab Sid humare ghar aaye the, Shehnaaz ne usse seduce kiya hoga. Isliye toh humein chhor ke uss se Nikah karna chahte hai Sid. Lekin hum aisa kabhi nahi hone denge."
