The next day, Komaeda took Hinata to the place he lived. "Take my hands, okay?"

Hinata grabbed his hands.

"My home is called Kamigami no ie. At least, that is what humans called it hundreds of years ago. The journey can feel a big weird, but don't worry. And please do not anger the Gods and Godessess. That's all. Are you ready?"

(I used Google translate for that, it's supposed to mean 'house of Gods'. If there's anyone who knows Japanese and sees that this is wrong, please feel free to correct me!)

"I am,"

Komaeda closed his eyes and the two men began floating. The room turned white. Then green. Then pink. Then they stood on a field of flowers.

"Ah, how I've missed this!" Komaeda said, spinning around. His clothes had changed back to his kimono and headdress. "This is my place!" He explained. "Humans imagined this place for me," he said. "After a God or Godess is born, a human paints their place in the way they imagine it. This place is created after the first ever painting a human made about me! It is a display of pure, human love! And that is why this place is so important to me. It means humans love me as much as I love them,"

Hinata smiled gently. "That's beautiful, man,"

"Thank you." He picked out a flower and it grew again immediately. Behind the field of flowers, there was a mountain with snow on top of it. Around it was a lake that was connected to a waterfall. The place looked wonderful.

"Let's visit my father now. He will be so happy to see me!" Komaeda grabbed Hinata's hand and teleported to a different place.

The brunet looked around. He was standing on a sunny field of grass with cherry blossom trees all around him. Nearby was a snowy winterland. Next to that was a thunderstorm that was destroying a forest. There was also a rainy old city.

"The hell's going on here?" Hinata asked. "This place is infinite!" He exclaimed.

"But your life is not, young man. So watch your tone." A friendly voice said. Hinata turned around.

"Woah... You're... you're, uh, Mister Komaeda's dad Sir God of weather, right?"

"Just Haruto is fine,"

"Thanks. Uh, I'm Hinata Hajime, Komaeda's protector,"

"Oh, I know." He leaned towards Hinata's ear. "If you even think about laying a hand on him, I will-"

"Yeah yeah, I know. Komaeda told me what Hayate did. I'm not like that,"

"Father!" Komaeda called out. Haruto turned around.

"Oh, my little cloud!" He exclaimed, smiling brightly. The God pulled his son into a tight hug. "My little snow angel! My sweet little sunshine, I missed you so much! You were gone for too long, I felt like I was dying bit by bit every single day!"

"I missed you too, father! I'm sorry I was gone for so long,"

"I am just happy you are back now! Don't ever leave me like that again, sunshine,"

"I'm sorry, father. Uhm, I live on earth now,"

"I know. With this man, correct?" He glared at Hinata.

"Yes! Hinata-kun is the best guardian I've ever had!" Komaeda said. "He's so cool,"

"Is he?" The older God asked.

"Yes, he is! I really like him,"

"Then I like him too, I suppose. Hinata, you are welcome here,"

"Thanks, Sir! We actually came here to ask something,"

Haruto sat down. "Ask away,"

"I can feel Komaeda's emotions when I focus on them,"

He nodded. "Yes, so?"

"Why can I do that? It wasn't like this the whole time," Hinata said.

"Did you perhaps receive information from Komaeda through his hiding place?"

"...what?"

The God sighed, annoyed. "Did you touch the clover and got info through that?"

"Yeah,"

"That is the reason. You are bonded now. That is a sort of connection, you could say. You can feel his emotions by focusing on them, much like you said. You will sense when he is in danger too," he explained.

Hinata nodded. "I see. That kinda sucks, they could've like shown me the terms and conditions beforehand,"

"Why does it 'suck'?"

"I mean, I'm always focusing on Komaeda, whenever we're outside at least. That means I always feel the emotions of one more person,"

"That is true. But at least you will sense if he is in danger so you can protect him,"

"Right. I don't wanna feel two people's emotions though. Can I undo this?"

"I would say to ask the God of protectors or something, but the closest thing we have to that is the one who got you into this situation in the first place," Haruto said.

Komaeda tilted his head, confused. "Huh?"

"You. You're the God of safety. Remember?"

"Oh, right! I don't know how to help you, Hinata-kun. Sorry,"

The brunet groaned, annoyed. "Ughh... why does this shit always happen to me?"
