Chapter 3 (Derek)

The now cold water rushed down my brown short hair. I turned the water tap off and climbed out of the shower into my neatly organized office. I dried my tanned skin and slipped on my local police of Zere uniform leaving my tattoo of a cross and bible slightly visible. The spiked up my fohawk “Derek you are sexy?” I said to myself. That’s when the pretty girl of out police station stepped in. I quickly cleaned up for her. “Hey what’s up?” I asked “Not much but the boss wants you.” She said and walked out. I quickly grabbed my notebook on different criminal records and stepped out of my office. All girls stopped and stared as I walked out of my office into the main building. All except for one, my partner Samantha Carter, she just rolled her eyes and walked into William Tric’s office, the big boss of the local police in Zere, California. The 36 year old man with long brown hair and brown eyes stared at us for a while and then finally spoke “There has been another murder of a man in a house. So far that’s all we know. We are counting on you to investigate the crime scene and find evidence to find this killer. You are dismissed.” He said finally “Nice and short just like I like it.” I said, William stared at me “Get to work!” he said, Sam smirked at me “Ya get to work.”

When we got there a tall blonde woman was waiting on the step of the house. “Hello there I am Officer Chase and this is assistant Officer Carter.” I said in a serious tone “Do you have any relation to the victim ma’am?” “Yes I am his wife, not his first one though.” She started to tear up “its okay ma’am have you touched or moved anything in the crime scene?” I asked “No, I haven’t.” she replied sadly. “Okay we’re going to take a look.” I said and made my way to the crime scene. The body of the victim laid there. I put on gloves and kneeled beside the body, and picked up the ring of his chest and put it in a baggy “Get Sky to run an examination on this when we get back.” I said and handed it to Sam. I toke out my notebook and write down:

-sliced at throat

-stabbed in chest right through the heart

-ring on chest

-no real signs of defensive wounds

-no forced entry

“Sam is there any broken bones?” I asked, Sam kneeled beside the body and ran her fingers offer he bodies chest and stopped near the stab wound “Only a broken rib sir.” She said I quickly added:

-broken rib at stab wound

“Wow, I think we’ll need the FBI’s help on this one whoever did this knows how to cover their tracks!” I said in a serious voice “They’re on their way.” Samantha said.
