It was mid spring in Stardew valley and that means it's also my weddin' day. Oliver proposed to me the past fall and it was the most magical thing I've ever experienced. We've been so excited about the weddin' that we couldn't stop planin' for it. When I was smaller I dreamed of bein' a princess, and today was my day to be that princess. I had a beautiful princess ball gown dress and I have never felt more beautiful. As the time got nearer, my nerves grew more and more.
"Ma... I'm nervous. I feel like I gotta throw up a little." My sweet mother took my hands in hers.
"Deep breaths peaches. I'll be right here until you walk down that aisle." I nodded and took slow deep breaths. Feeling my nerves being calmed I hugged her.
"Thank you so much for everythin' ma. I couldn't do it without you."
"I will always be here for you peaches, no matter the circumstances." She hugged me and rubbed my back. I could feel myself relax more in her embrace. Suddenly the door opened.
"Where is my daughter-in-law?" I smiled hearing Florence.
"I'm in here Flo." My soon to be mother-in-law came into the room and gasped.
"Oh Genevieve you look absolutely breathtaking." She walked over to me and hugged me as I smiled and hugged her back.
"Thank you Flo."
"I'm so happy to have you as a daughter. I knew from the first time my Ollie called and told me about you that you were the one for him." I blushed slightly and smiled more.
"You're so sweet." That made her smile.
"Okay, I've only popped in for a moment to give you this." She handed me a cup of warm gold liquid. "It's strawberry mint tea, it helped calmed my nerves on my wedding day. So I figured you could try it."
"Oh Flo thank you, I hope it works because I can feel the nerves comin' back." I took a sip from the cup. Holy cow that was good.
"Okay, I'll see you at the reception dear." She kissed my cheek and left my bridal suite. I drank some more of the tea and closed my eyes trying my best to relax. Besides being nervous I was also extremely excited. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with Ollie. Nothing was going to ruin this day.
"Ready to get married peaches?" I opened my eyes and looked at ma, I let out a sigh and nodded.
"I'm ready." I smiled softly, ma took my hand and led me to the door but Jesse beat us to opening it.
He looked out of breath and ready to put his fist in the nearest wall.
"Jess..?"
"You can't leave yet. There's a problem." My heart dropped. No, no, no, no, today was supposed to be perfect. There aren't supposed to be problems. I felt like screaming and crying and running.
