It has been two months since I've moved to Stardew Valley. I got a job as a ranch hand with one of Marshall's friends and I've absolutely loved it. Our house is finally built and we're elbows deep into the moving process from Genevieve's apartment. The whole Carter family has come to help, with the extra hands we should be completely moved in my the end of the week. Because of the whole moving process, Gen has been so occupied. So it gives me the chance to go talk to her brother's and father. It was early on this cool November day, the sun was shining in the windows I had propped open to let in a cool breeze. I was about finished with breakfast when I heard the soft pads of Genevieve's feet coming down the stairs. I plated her pancakes before I turned and saw her standing there in the sunlight. She had stolen another of my shirts to sleep in and it made me smile.

"There's my sleepy girl." I went over to her and wrapped her up in my arms before kissing her softly. I got an approved hum from her. I pulled back and smiled softly. "How'd you sleep sunshine?"

"Like a baby. I am in love with the new bed. It's like sleeping on a cloud." I chuckled.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it." I brushed her hair out of her face and she leaned into my touch. "I made breakfast, I know you're probably starving."

"I may be small but I can out eat anyone." I laughed knowing it was true, I stepped behind her and pulled her hair back and began to braid it back out of her face. I keep more than one hair tie on me at all times now just for this reason. After braiding her hair back I wrap my arms around her waist from behind and pull her back into my chest. I leaned down and started to leave soft kisses on her neck. I could see her smile and blush.

"I have to go into work a little bit earlier today." I told her in between kisses.

"Do you know why?" Her question came out like a whisper. I smiled against her skin.

"I don't, the boss just asked me to come earlier."

"Then we better finish our breakfast quickly so I can have you for the rest of the time before you have to leave." I chuckled and let her go.

"Good thinking sunshine."

We went outside and sat down on our back porch and ate our breakfast. The sunshine was warm against my skin as I set down my plate. I looked over and Genevieve shivering.

"Oh sweetheart, come here." I opened my arms to her and quickly got up and come over to me. I pulled her down into my lap, I grabbed the blanket off the back of the chair and draped it over her and wrapping my warms around her. She curled up in my lap and snuggled further into my chest. I kissed the top of her head.

"Better?" I asked softly.

She nodded. "These are the perks of having an oven as a boyfriend." I laughed and rubbed her back, helping her warm up. We sat there in silence for a while, that was until a white tailed deer appeared out of the forest. Gen gasped softly and whispered, "Ollie look. She's beautiful."
