Upon hearing this, Cheng Siqiao abruptly raised her head, gripping the chopsticks tightly, and cast a resistant look at Zhou Yun.

Xie Chen, who had been silent, also put down his phone. Just as he uttered the word "no," he was sternly glared at by Lin Man, indicating that he shouldn't speak recklessly.

Xie Chen remained silent, lowering his head to play with his phone. A few strands of his hair stubbornly stood up. Cheng Siqiao used her peripheral vision to glance at him. The contours of the boy's jaw were distinct, and the low neckline of his shirt revealed a slender neck. His eyebrows were hidden beneath the strands of hair falling from his temples. His eyelashes were long and curled, and there was a small mole beside his eye.

He seemed to be in a bad mood.

"That's great," Zhou Yun glanced at Cheng Siqiao, directly ignoring the subtle thoughts in her eyes. "Our family's driver had some urgent matters at home and had to rush back to Liaocheng this afternoon. We were worried about her commuting to school, especially since she loves getting lost. Now, with the two of them together, I can rest assured."

"Did you hear that?" Lin Man tapped the table, paying no attention to her son's emotions. "Remember, Cheng Siqiao, you'll be waiting for your sister on the way to school and back."

Xie Chen impatiently snorted, still keeping his head down.

"Siqiao," Lin Man said.

"Huh?" Cheng Siqiao was brought back to reality by Lin Man's words. "What's the matter, Aunt Lin?"

"You don't have Xie Chen's contact information yet," Lin Man, persistent in binding her son and Cheng Siqiao together, said, "Come, I'll add you both as friends. It will be more convenient for you to contact each other in the future."

Cheng Siqiao didn't know how to respond for a moment and stammered, "There's no need to bother."

"What's the trouble?" Lin Man smiled at her and gestured for Xie Chen to hand her his phone. She then asked Cheng Siqiao to find her own business card and quickly sent a friend request. "Friend request sent. Consider accepting it."

Cheng Siqiao looked at them blankly, not saying a word.

Cheng Siqiao had a good impression of Lin Man, who looked nice and was enthusiastic towards her, but she had no particular feelings toward Xie Chen. She even had a slight desire to escape.
