"𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐃 we're coming to get you" Jackson said to Allison over the phone
"Please, don't. Okay, I'm sure he's on his way. He's only..." The girl trailed off "twenty six minutes late..."
"You hear that? First, it's "He's only twenty-six minutes late," a month later, it's "He only hits me when he's drunk." Slippery slope, Allison. Slippery slope." Lydia said into the phone
"I can kick his ass if you want!" Sevyn added from the back seat "We're picking you up."
"No-" Allison started but got cut off
"Too late" Jackson said as he pulled up in front of her "The girls get what the girls want" He said as Lydia and Sevyn silently high fives each other "Come on, get in. We can stop by his place and see if he's there."
"...Is that him, with the best explanation ever of why he's half-a-freaking-hour late?" Lydia asked as they heard Allison's phone go off
"um, not exactly?" Allison stated confused

"What're they doing here, anyway?" Sevyn asked confused as they pulled into the parking lot of beacon hills high school
"I don't know" Allison shrugged "He just told me to meet him here"
"They lock the doors at night, you know" Lydia pointed out
"That one's open..." Allison said as they all looked over to see the door was indeed open
"...You don't need me to state the obvious, right?" Jackson asked butting into their conversation
"That it looks like they broke into the school?" Allison said slightly amused "No-- pretty obvious."
"Do you want me to come with you?" Jackson offered
"No it's okay" she said walking up a little and Jackson followed after
While they were talking Sevyn turned towards Lydia
"After this do you wanna go back to my house and watch a movie?" Sevyn asked her best friend eagerly
"Oh my goodness yes" Lydia said smiling "We haven't hung out in forever I thought you were starting to forget about me"
"Me forget about you?" Sevyn laughed "I could never, you're my best friend we're stuck together"
Sevyn and Lydia watched as Jackson made his way to the school and they looked at each other confused
