A new chapter is here.

---------------------------------------------------------

Pete and Venice spent a lot of years together and he has to admit that it was the most challenging years for him. He could not be more thankful to his parents for support, even though his father was really hard to convince that keeping Venice is a good idea, but the more little one grew the bigger bond they created.

It has been almost seven years and Vegas didn't show up at all, Pete was in touch with Nop from time to time.

"I think that it's time to move on, Pete." His mom grabbed his shoulder and tightened her grip. "I don't think that he will show up here. I think that he just used to take care of his brother, or he might be his son, you never know."

Pete knew that Vegas would not be lying about it and he trusted Nop too.

"Mom, stop being skeptical. I now dont care if Vegas shows up or not. I am so happy that I have Venice and I can see him grow. He is going to school for the very first time tomorrow and I need to get a lot of things ready, so if you want to help me, then fine, but let's not talk about him. Please." Pete gave a pleading look to her, trying to rest for a moment from that talk, he was listening to it almost every time she was over.

"All I was saying is that you should move on. Vegas didn't show up in the last seven years and I don't think that he ever will." Mom hummed and walked to the living room where she continued with the laundry.

"He will show up, mom." Pete whispered quietly, trying to convince himself more than anyone else.

Pete woke up Venice earlier than he was used to and Venice was really grumpy, not cooperating, he even fell asleep whilst brushing his teeth.

"Papa, that is not fair. I don't want to go to school."

"Come on, you are going to enjoy it and you will finally see your friends."

"They can come over anytime, so we don't have to see each other at school at all."

"You didn't finish your school either."

"Oi, Venice. I didn't finish university and that's different." Pete chuckled and patted Venice's head. He loved when Venice talked back, he knew that there were a lot of similarities between him and Vegas and he enjoyed it.

They arrived in front of the school and the moment Venice saw his friends he gave a quick kiss to Pete and hurried to them. They ran on a football field where they joined other kids and played something similar to football.

Pete looked around and saw the teacher he talked to before accepting Venice to school.

"Good morning Mr. Springler."

"Good morning Mr. Saengtham." The teacher smiled back as they shook hands.

"How's Venice this morning?"

"He kept complaining about school and that he can see his friends anytime and now look at him." Pete chuckled as he pointed finger towards Venice who was happily running around like he was not complaining about everything a moment ago.

"I'm happy to see him happy. It must have been challenging for you, to take care of him all alone."

Everyone knew about Pete and Venice and no one ever asked and Pete was happy he didn't want to use that stupid excuse of Venice's mother dying whilst giving birth to him, he didn't even want to say anything about adoption or something like this. He was happy that it somehow stayed like this.

"Yeah, it was not easy, luckily I have a great family and they helped me a lot." Pete smiled and remembered that first night he spent with Venice alone, how he was crying in pain because of his tummy, how the warm towel helped and how they fell asleep together in bed after Pete did all safety measures and how his mother secretly took a photo of them and he hung it on the wall in his bedroom.
