That's all bruce could think about last lesson and on the way home

Why did he fight Henry

It wasn't just because he was annoyed by henry

Was the fight about him

He put his mind at rest when he started falling asleep

When vance and Belle came home, they saw their mum and aunt sitting on the sofa looking really serious

It was weird because his mum should have been at work still

"Look, if this is about the fight, I'm sorry."

"It's not about that. Both of you sit down." They both listen
"It's your dad."

"What about the prick?" Belle rests her face on her arm

"He's dead." Their mum started crying

"Mum, don't cry. It's for the best." Vance rubs his mums arm in support

"How did he die?" Belle shifts in her seat uncomfortably

"Car crash, happened last night, that's why I'm here."

Their mum walks upstairs, crying her eyes out

"I'm surprised it wasn't the drugs." Vance rolls his eyes

It was true. His dad once used all the money, vance and Belle raised for charity, to buy drugs

Eight year old Vance was gutted

He did all that work for nothing

"Now you two must be fragile with your mum. I know yall hate him, believe me, I do too, but he helped bring you two beautiful children into this world. At that means a lot to your mother. She hates working and not seeing ya, but she does it for you two to live a happy life."

The twins nod in agreement, and they all separate their own ways

Bruce realised he was now outside walking along the street where he got pulled into the alleyway and beaten before vance came and saved him

When he got to the opening of the alleyway, he was dragged and slammed against the brick wall

He had closed his eyes tight in fear but slowly opened them to see Vance Hopper pressed against him

"Va-" He gets cut off by vance, putting his palm on Bruce's mouth

He was looking at the entrance hastily

A police car drives past, blaring its sirens

Bruce realised it was probably looking for vance

When the sirens were no longer vance, let's go of Bruce's mouth

"Hey, bruce." Before bruce could even say hi back, vance lay a soft kiss on the others' lips
"Do me a favour and leave me alone before I become too obsessed over you." His voice became quieter as he talked, and bruce heard a door open, which brought him back to his room

So that was a dream

"Hey, honey, dinners ready." Lilith smiles

"Ok, mum." He stretches out before leaving his room and greeting the rest of the family

They say grace as usual and begin eating

"So, did you hear about Henry?" Lilith asks while cutting her steak

"No, not other than he got in a fight today."
