It was hot.
Like uncomfortable sweaty hot.
I knew Bahrain was hot but it's February and I feel like I'm dying.
"I spy with my little eye-" lando begins coming up from behind me as I spin around
"A sweaty rat that wants to die" I whine as he laughs
"How have you been Maggie?" He asks
"I've been decent, how about you?" I ask as he shrugs
"Meh, on your way to the Ferrari motorhone?" He asks as I nod
"I'll walk you" he says cheerfully
I'd been in the paddock for about an hour so far. We had to meet with the Ferrari content team before the day started officially and then I had to phone into a meeting happening in Monaco at the office.
Lando caught me when I was heading back to the Ferrari motorhone hopefully to find food.
"How are you liking the inter workings of f1 so far" he asks me as I shrug
"I don't think I've been here long enough, maybe ask me next week and I'll have an actual answer" i respond as he chuckles
The walk from the paddock club, were I had been sitting, to the Ferrari motorhone wasn't very far at all. So we were there in no time.
"Lando! Mate what are you doing here" Charles asks lando not yet seeing me as he walks over
"I was just walking Maggie over here. Don't worry I'm not here to steal any important Ferrari strategy, although I'm sure we would not benefit from it " Lando laughs and moves from infront of me and Charles and I lock eyes
He smiles at me and I smile back as lando walks up to him and pats his back
"How are you doing mate?" Lando asks
"Im doing alright, how about yourself?" Charles asks as they walk back up the steps and I open the door for them
"I'm doing fine. I've been really bored, so I'm excited to finally be back."Lando says
Charles nods and they both walk inside and I follow
After walking inside the begin talking about race stuff and I begin to zone out as I don't really know a lot about it.
"Ah I have to go, they need me back at mclaren. But I'll see you both around" lando says as I zone back in
"Good to see you lando" I say as he gives me a small hug
"I'll see you Charlie" lando laughs and exits
"Charlie?" I ask as Charles shrugs
"He won't shake it" he says as I chuckle
"What's on the agenda today Ms America!" He asks and begins to walk towards the back of the motorhone gesturing for me to follow him
"One simple video, I don't exactly know what it's for but we will find out in an hour. Also I thought we were restarting? What's up with Ms. America?"
"Yeah I'll leave everything else in the past but I'm keeping Ms. America"he laughs as I roll my eyes and we walk up yet another flight of stairs
Once we get upstairs we are met with Carlos and his Race engineer Riccardo
