Chapter Twenty-One

Lyric Williams

Lyric  felt her phone vibrate and smiled. She placed it on her ear as she rubbed the towel through her damped hair.

"So how's Bora Bora?" Nova asked.

"So far so good." Lyric smiled.

"You ok?" She asked.

"Yeah, I just showered." Lyric said.

"Isn't it like 3 a.m. there?" Nova asked.

"Yeah." Lyric said placing a robe over her body.

"You don't usually take showers this late, unless something's wrong." She said.

Lyric bit the corner of her lips and sighed as she made her way to the kitchen.

"I just I don't know, feel sad." She explained.

"Why? Where's Ho-Seok?" Nova asked.

"He's asleep." She said pouring herself a glass of wine.

"What's going on Lyric?" Nova asked.

Lyric sighed grabbing her glass, she quietly opened the door and made her way to the private beach.

"I don't know, I just feel sad. I feel myself falling in love but why do I feel guilty about it?" Lyric asked.

"Lyric, you deserve this type of love. Don't ever think you don't." Nova said.

"I just wish my dad was here, to see me be in love. What about when I have kids? Or get married?" She asked.

"Lyric, your dad is so proud of you. He's looking down at you smiling and if he was here, he would approve of Ho-Seok don't ever question that." Nova said.

Lyric sighed and nodded before taking a sip of her wine.

"I know, but I just wish he was fucking here to see it." She sniffed.

"And he is watching you Lyric, you think he would want his baby crying right now?" Nova asked.

Lyric chuckled and wiped her tears.

"You're right, I'm going to get some sleep." Lyric said.

"Alright enjoy your trip." Nova said before hanging up.

Lyric placed her phone down and sighed as she looked at the ocean waves.

"Love, what are you doing out here this late?" Ho-Seok asked.

Lyric looked over her shoulder at him and did a weak smile.

"I couldn't sleep." She said.

He sat beside her and placed the blanket over her shoulder before pulling her close.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"Just missing my dad is all." She said.

"Yeah, I understand how you feel." He mumbled.
