Lyric Williams

Lyric sighed as she turned her alarm off, she sat up annoyed before snatching the covers off of her body. She scratched her head as she made her way to the bathroom, she handled her business before getting dressed. She studied hard in school to become a nurse, fresh out of nursing school with high scores she was offered a position at Los Angeles general health and she was glad it was paying off.

She sprayed some perfume on herself before grabbing her things, she made sure the house was locked before getting into her car. Once she made it to the hospital, she relieved the overnight nurses before going over a few charts.

"So how was the date?" Nova asked.

Lyric rolled her eyes.

"That bad?" Nova asked sitting beside her.

"Hit me with the friend shit." She mumbled.

Nova sighed before rubbing her back.

"His lost." Nova said.

"I just don't understand why?" She sighed.

"That's because men are stupid and don't know what they want." Nova scuffed.

Lyric looked at her best friend and smiled, they've been friends since Nursing school and been stuck together like glue for a while.

"Yeah, so did Hyun-Woo like the lingerie?" Lyric asked.

Nova huffed and rolled her eyes.

"He came into the house and went straight to sleep." She sighed.

Lyric laughed and shook her head.

"The man is one of the best lawyers in Los Angeles." Lyric said.

"Yeah, I know it's just...I lit candles and made a rose trail and everything." Nova sighed.

"It'll be ok Nova, I'm sure he'll make it up to you." Lyric smiled.

Nova nodded.

"Yeah." She mumbled.

"I'm going to make my rounds, but we can talk over lunch ok?" Lyric asked as she stood up.

"Sure." Nova smiled.

Lyric nodded before going to see her first patient of the day, she pulled the curtain back and smiled.

"Mr.Anderson, how are you feeling this morning?" She asked.

"I feel like shit, I need a cigarette." He groaned.

"Now Mr.Anderson, you smoking them cigarettes is what got you in here in the first place." She shook her head.

He waved her off as she checked his vitals, Mr.Anderson was in his last stages of lung cancer. He had no family and was just a lonely old man, he reminded her of her dad. She was sad knowing he wasn't going to be here soon.

Her father was all she had up until he passed away last year, she never knew her mother but her dad played both parts. He paid for her schooling and made sure she didn't want or need for anything, he played both parts and for that she respected him 100%.
