Chapter Seventeen

Lee Ho-Seok

Ho-Seok jumped out of his sleep as he heard laughter. He checked his phone and mentally cursed before quickly grabbing his keys.

"Lily is going to fucking kill me." He sighed as he jogged downstairs.

"Look who's up." Lily giggled as she poured herself a glass of water.

Ho-Seok looked at her confused before scratching his head. He walked into the kitchen and leaned on the island.

"How'd you get here?" He asked.

"Lyric answered the phone when I called. So she came and got us." She explained.

"Us?" He asked.

"Ha-Joon." She said.

"I thought he had a test?" He asked.

"I wouldn't miss a free flight to Mexico and I missed my big brother." Ha-Joon said coming into the kitchen.

"Well I'm happy you both are here." Ho-Seok smiled.

"Mhmmmmm, what's up with the bags?" Lily asked.

"Are you sure you can fight?" Ha-Joon asked.

Ho-Seok chuckled.

"I'm fine guys, I just been working extra hard." He explained.

"I guess." Lily said rolling her eyes.

"Where is Lyric? Did you guys run her away?" He asked squinting his eyes.

Lily and Ha-Joon glanced at one another before laughing.

"She's in the living room." Ha-Joon said.

"Oh ok, so what do you guys think?" He asked leaning on the counter.

"I think she's sweet." Lily smiled.

"She's very genuine, I can see she really loves you." Ha-Joon added.

Ho-Seok smiled and nodded.

"That's good to hear." He smiled.

"But it's still early so we're still looking out for red flags." Lily said.

Ha-Joon nodded.

"Agreed." He said.

Ho-Seok chuckled and shook his before leaving them to find Lyric, he found her looking through a stack of movies and smiled.

"Hi." He smiled.

Lyric looked up and smiled.

"Hey, how'd you sleep?" She asked.

"I slept good, thanks to you." He said sitting beside her.

"I'm sorry for answering your phone, I didn't go through it or anything-"

"Love, it's fine. Thank you." He said grabbing her hands.
