Thanks a lot for the lovely response. I was so touched by each and every comment. I made sure that I responded to all of them. If I missed any, I am genuinely sorry.
I hope the love keeps pouring in. I will try my best to do justice to the story I have in mind. I will definitely write the bonus chapter encompassing all the requests in one because they are majorly about Neil's younger days.
If I manage to finish it up before I finish the book, I will update it right away.
The target for this stays the same but the whole idea behind it is seeking some genuine response. Please don't misunderstand it.

Abhir tried to explain but Abhimanyu pointed at an older bruise.
"Main iski baat kar raha tha" he said in a dangerously low voice. Abhir paled.
"Aaj jo hua usmein mujhe aapki koi galti nahi dikhi. But I do want to know ki aap apni health aur safety ko leke itne careless kaise ho sakte ho..... especially when you hate medication?"
Abhimanyu asked sincerely. He wasn't scolding. He was just expressing his concern. Abhir looked down.
"Yeh chot kaise lagi Abhir? Aur kab?" He probed again.
"Jab main khel raha tha na...mujhe basket karna tha aur karne gaya aur kisine mujhe takkar maar diya. I didn't see him coming.
So, I fell down and there was some sharp metal thing there. Usise thoda kata tha. But the game went on and maine zyada socha nahi uske bare mein" Abhir came clean.
"Kab hua?" Abhimanyu asked again, this time in a no-nonsense tone.
"3 din pehle" Abhir answered and his head hung low in the blink of an eye. Abhimanyu looked at both his children who refused to meet his eye.

Aaj main nahi dekhta toh shayad us bruise ke bare mein mujhe tab pata chalta jab kuch bada hojata. Septic hojata toh kya karleta main? There is only so much in my hands, jo main kar sakta hoon even as a Doctor.
Fight itna escalate nahi hota toh mujhe kabhi pata nahi chalta ki aap College mein kya face kar rahe ho. Agar aapko action nahi bhi leni thi, kyunki woh childish hota according to you, aap humse share kar sakti thi.
