83. Waiting 🏥

(Isabella's Pov)
"Why can't I push!" I screamed.

"If you push, the cords gonna tug around the neck." Said the nurse.

My heart was pounding.
I looked up at Draco, and his face was pale.

Suddenly I watched as I had a contraction on the monitor. But I didn't feel the contraction.

"Isa?" Said Draco.
"She's in shock." Said Mattheo.

Shock?

(Draco's Pov)
My wife's in shock, and my child's suffocating.

I wrapped my arms around Isa, and leaned her into me. I know she likes being held like that.

"Everything's gonna work out Isa, I'm gonna be next to you this whole time."

A nurse rushed in with this scary looking tool. Please don't hurt her.

"I'm gonna insert this into you, and cut the umbilical cord from the bellybutton. Then you have to push hard." Said the nurse.

I looked at Isa, but she didn't seem to process.

"Stop stalling and do it!" Yelled Mattheo at the nurse.

He went on the other side of Isabella, and rubbed her shoulder.

Isabella stared blankly. I took deep breaths, and ran my fingers through Isa's hair.

She's probably in so much pain.

(Isabella's Pov)
Am I having a baby, or is this a dream?

Everyone looks worried, but not me.
I'm just chilling on this bed.

Draco's looked like he was crying.
I wiped his eyes.

Dracos eyes widened, and he looked at Mattheo.
"You need to snap out of this!" Yelled Mattheo.

Out of what?

"The cords stuck around our baby's neck.
You need to snap out!" Yelled Draco.

My body jolted. Everything hit me all at once, and I gasped.

"Thank god you're okay." Said Draco panting.

"Ow! What's in me?!" I shrieked.
"They're cutting the cord so you can push."

Suddenly there was a thud.
"Astoria!" Yelled Mattheo.

She passed out, and Mattheo went to grab her.

"Okay push like your babies life depends on it, because it does." Said the nurse.

WHAT?

I let out a cry in pain, as I felt a contraction, but I started to push.

Draco held on to me, and kissed my forehand.
"Keep pushing darling."
"It hurts!"
"I know but the baby needs out." Said Draco.

"You need more force, because the cord is stuck." Said the nurse.

"I can't I can't I can't!" I sobbed.
"You can Isa, come on."

"You need to push honey, immediately."
Said the doctor.

I tried pushing as a contraction hit, but I didn't feel any progress.

"Draco I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
Draco held me close to him, and moved my hair out of my face.

"You don't have to be sorry because you can do this, I believe in you."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I sobbed.

I can't do this.

Isabella gave up.
I can see it on her face.

I feel like my entire worlds been crushed.
