Dracula saw Clawdeen up, she wasn't eating, riding her skateboard or playing with toys. she was just sitting on the couch with a sad expression on her face. this was the first time where Dracula saw his adopted daughter like that, she was usually a happy kid, just yesterday she was happy because next week she will start going to school with Draculaura. he sat down next to her
Dracula: honey, what's wrong?
Clawdeen: daddy, am I your real daughter?
Dracula stiffened, Draculaura told him the lie she told Clawdeen and they both agrred to tell Clawdeen the truth when she was older, but 5 was still to young to know the truth
Dracula: o-of course sweetie, who told you that?
Clawdeen: this mean werewolf named Romulus!
Dracula: just tell Draculaura about it, I'm positive when she's done with him, he won't mess with you again.
Clawdeen smiled
Clawdeen: thanks daddy
Dracula: of course honey, now go to your room
Clawdeen: okay!
she got up and ran to her room and shut the door. Dracula sighed
Dracula: we can't keep lying to her forever....
meanwhile Clawdeen was on the ground coloring a picture, after she was done she picked it up and looked at it
Clawdeen: Perfect!
she quickly put it in her drawer and crawled into bed. she said good-fright to Draculaura and dozed off.
THE NEXT NIGHT
Clawdeen woke up and made her bed and walked into the kitchen where Draculaura and their father was, Dracula was making pancakes and handed them to his daughters
Draculaura: Thanks Dad!
Clawdeen: thank you daddy
Dracula: anything for my princesses, and my birthday girl, Come Here!
he pulled Draculaura into a hug and tickled her
Draculaura: *laugh* Daddy! stop!
Dracula: *chuckles* alright
he let her go, after Draculaura and Clawdeen were done with breakfast they went to their room
Clawdeen: sissy?
Draculaura: yeah?
Clawdeen: do you have any plans for your birthday?
Draculaura: no, we don't want to overwhelm you with too many people
Clawdeen: but you love parties!
Draculaura: I do, took all my self control to not throw myself one *chuckles*
she then noticed Clawdeen looking to the floor, no smile on her face
Draculaura: are you okay little sister? *kneels down in front of her* are you sick?
Clawdeen: no...
Draculaura: did you have a bad dream again?
Clawdeen: no... can I go watch T.V, please?
Draculaura: I.. *sigh* sure, just 1 hour okay?
Clawdeen: okay, thank you
she got up and slowly walked toward the door, opened it, then closed it. her footsteps fading away. Draculaura sighed, she didn't like seeing Clawdeen so upset. she sat at her desk and began organizing it for the 6th time that night
1 HOUR LATER
Draculaura: Alright! just need to throw this trash away!
she picked up some paper and trash and threw it in the trash can, but before she did that, she saw a piece of paper in the trash, confused, she picked it up and looked at it. she was shocked
Draculaura: Clawdeen! Come Here At Once!
Clawdeen opened the door and walked over to her big sister, Draculaura picked her up and sat her next to her on the bed
Draculaura: I want to talk to you about something
she pulled out the paper, it was the drawing Clawdeen made. the drawing was of Draculaura and her holding hands with smiles on their faces, with the words " Happy Birthday Big Sister!".
Draulaura: why was this in the trash? if it was for me, why would you throw it away like that?
Clawdeen avoided eye contact
Clawdeen: I... I didn't know if you would have liked it...
Draculaura: What?! but I Love Your Pictures!
Clawdeen: you do?
Draculaura: Of Course! sis, talk to me, I'm here for you
Clawdeen felt tears stinging her eyes
Clawdeen: you're getting older... your 700 now, I thought you wouldn't like spending time with me anymore...
Draculaura pulled Clawdeen close
Draculaura: that will never happen, I will always love spending time with you Clawdeen, just cause I'm getting older, doesn't mean I won't love you anymore, you goofball!
she ruffled the hybrid's hair as Clawdeen chuckled then hugged Draculaura
Clawdeen: you really know how to make me feel better, I love you so much!
Draculaura: I love you too
Clawdeen: may you watch T.V with me?
Draculaura: alright, but I'm the birthday girl so we are watching what I want to watch.. you go ahead I need to do something
Clawdeen: Okay!
she runs off. Draculaura smiles at the picture then hangs it on the wall before walking through the door as well
Draculaura: best birthday gift ever...
