Time really did fly, It's already the day of our flight. I am really excited to go to Chicago again but this time it's for a wedding. Right now it's 2:36 PM, and our flight is at 6:20 PM. I bet we're going to get there at least two hours early, knowing that all Desi parents go so early.

I have everything packed so far, just don't know what exactly is going in my handbag just yet. I got my main necessities like my blanket, AirPods, sunglasses, snacks, but what else?

My phone buzz and I pick it up to see that my precious jaan has texted. He texted, "I CAN'T BELIEVE MY ISHOO JAANU IS LEAVING ME FOREVER". I stare at the text laughing. He's such a big baby. I text back, "Jaan I'm not leaving you like that silly", and sent the text.

He sent the sad emoji seconds after. I smile, what would I ever do without him. He sends another text saying, "CAN WE CALLLL". Well my parents are out doing last minutes supply shopping in case we needed anything. So I text back, "Yeah but I don't know for how long".

I sat my phone down for just a minute and the phone rang. He could have given me a minute. I answer the call and put on my AirPods. "Asalamu Alaykum", he says laughing.

"Walakum Salam, habibi", I laugh so hard. Then we both just start laughing. I love how silly we are, like I'm just so lucky to have him. "Don't forget about me, when you leave", he says. "Awe jaan, I won't never forget about you for a second, silly. I will keep you updated and send lots of pictures".

"Yes, I want to see my pyaari jaanu baby, send", he insists. "I will, I have my outfits for the Dholki (which is about music and dancing that brings the families of the bride and groom in one place sometimes separated). The Nikkah (the formal marriage ceremony where a marriage contract, is signed by both the bride and the groom in presence of close family members). And finally the Walima (the formal reception hosted by the husband and wife and officially makes the marriage public).

"So, what are you going to wear to each function?", he asks. "Suprise hi" (It's a surprise), I laugh. He pouts and I smile. "Sabr karo, each din, I'll show you". "Finee, lekin aik aur cheese-" (But, one more thing), he asks.

"Jii?" (yes?). "Put on your location on your snap map, so I can stalk you", he says. I hesitate before saying anything. "Oh, so you want to stalk me now?"

I've been doing it for some time now, you know. I told you I'm in your vents watching you," he says laughing. I look up at my vent, damn.. it's small and I didn't even realize it. "How are you in my vent, when it's so small?".

"Shhh, don't question my abilities", he says as he drops his phone wheezing. "My bad, what are you a jinn?". He laughs even more wheezing louder on call, which made me laugh harder as well.

"Yes, I'm a jinn. And I have made you fall in love with me, no boys will ever come around you again", he says trying to speak without laughing but fails.

Things just got really funny as we joked around for about an hour. I knew my parents were on their way home soon so I tell Sajid that I'll go and text him later.

"Don't leave me", he whines. "I'm sorry meri jaan, but what if I get caught?, what if they take my phone the whole trip and I can't talk to you". I know he's upset and I am too. But what can I do yaar?

"Okay fine, make sure you read Safr ki dua aur Ayatul Kursi, please be safe and have a safe flight jaanu, I love you so much", he says. I smile so much, he's so cute I swear. "I will jaan, I love you too, I'll text you at the airport and ima put my location on".

"Acchi baat hai. Allafiz jaanu, I love you", he says. I laugh, "Allahfiz jaan, I love you toooo, see you soon". I hang up and quickly go onto my snap map. I just realize I don't know what I'm doing...
