------------A month later-----------

Leah's POV

I was making lunch for the kids in the kitchen.

I realized a month had passed, and still no news of Luca.

Sometimes I'd just sit by the window, hoping the gates open.

Maybe I do have feelings for him.

NO. I can't, it'll be weird.

"Mammy, what are having for Lunch?" Andrea walked towards me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh, mushroom ravioli" I replied with a smile.

I've slowly gotten used to what they call me.

"Sounds nice, who taught you how to make it?" she asked sitting on one of the kitchen island's stools in front of me.

"My dad" I replied with a smile, remembering the chaos we'd leave the kitchen in,  and my mom would flip when she'd enter the messed kitchen.

"Cool" she smiled, "Where are your siblings?" I asked while mixing the dough.

"Gabriel is playing Fortnight or something, and Bella is cheering him on while playing with her stuffed toys, so I left" she shrugged.

"Wanna help me?" I asked, her eyes lit up "Really?" she asked excitement painted all over her face.

I giggled "Yes, go get an apron" I told her.

She jumped out of her seat and ran towards the pantry where the aprons were kept.

"Remember to wash your hands while you're there!" I reminded.

"Ok Mammy!" she responded as I heard the tap open.

"Where do we start?" she said wiping her hands on a cloth.

I smiled at her "Can you pass me the eggs?"

She nodded.

I was happy that Andrea was doing better,  but I felt as though she was still hiding something.

But I won't push her to say anything, it's better that way.

She was cutting out the ravioli as I boiled the ones that were done already, "Mammy" she paused and looked at me.

"Yes" I replied, "I want to tell you something" she started.

I took a cloth to wipe my hands and stopped to look at her to show she had my full attention

"It's about me and Gabriel—" she started but we were interrupted by the sound of cars outside.

"I think Dad's back," she said looking at me.

"I think so too" I affirmed, "I'll go tell Gabriel and Bella" She cleaned her hands and ran out of the kitchen and then up the stairs.

My heart fluttered, I've waited for him to come back for a while.

Now he's here.

Third-Person POV

In no time the mansion was a scene of utter chaos as Luca Romano returned.

The mansion slowly filled with injured men and doctors tending to them.

Leah was overwhelmed by the sudden change of atmosphere.

Many injured men flooded in but no sign of Luca.

She helped doctors get around and men hold their wounds as they waited to be treated by professionals.
