The day went by quickly and I soon found myself sitting in the centre of the front row in Mr Evans’s classroom, staring as the clock ticked around the final five minutes. I couldn’t help but grin every time I made eye contact with Finn, so I had to avoid it as much as possible else someone might think something was going on. However, I was unimpressed with the ‘spontaneous’ seating plan that had resulted in my sitting just a couple of feet from where he was teaching.

“So I want you to have a look at the questions about Wuthering Heights on the fourteenth page and have a go at answering them for next Tuesday. I’ll see you guys whenever I have you next” He said, perching on the edge of his desk and crossing his arms across it making his muscles obvious beneath the sleeve of his shirt. The bell rang and everyone picked up their bags and things, the twins were at my side in moments, bouncing excitedly so we could get out and have our ‘chat’.

“Riley, could I speak to you for a minute or two please?” Mr Evans called; smirking at me and making my legs feel like jelly.

“Sure thing sir” I responded, before turning back to my friends. “I’ll meet you guys in the parking lot?” They all nodded, Logan glancing between us suspiciously while Brogan erupted into fits of girlish giggles. They traipsed out slowly, leaving Finn and I alone in his classroom.

“So…” I said awkwardly, smiling at him as he walked over to the door and flipped the lock. That simple gesture had my stomach swooping in anticipation.

“So, I missed you today” He walked over to me and slid his arms around my waist. I immediately leaned into his chest and rested my face against his shoulder, smelling his irresistible scent.

“I missed you too” I began, but was stunned into silence before I could continue by his fingers pulling my chin up to look at him.

“There are your beautiful eyes” He smirked, making me blush happily while his thumb stroked gently across my cheek. My gaze flickered from his warm grey eyes to his soft lips and back again, only to catch him doing the same thing. My heart was crashing wildly in my chest as he leaned in gently. Ever so softly, his lips touched mine and he pulled back, only to have me close the distance between us again eagerly. No way was he getting away with a tiny peck when I’d spent the whole day yearning for him. He smirked against my lips as I kissed him furiously, my hands hooking up around his neck and tangling into the back of his soft hair. His tongue swept lightly over my lower lip and I smirked slightly, shaking my head without breaking contact. He groaned lightly, making my giggle against him. Instead his lips left mine and he pushed me against the wall. His hands trailed down my back, running softly down to the waistband of my skirt where he stopped hesitantly. His lips kissed gently down my jaw line and he bent his head to continue the trail of burning kisses down my neck. I moaned softly and felt his lips smile against my skin. We were pressed so tight together that you wouldn’t have been able to slide even a sheet of paper between our bodies. His fingers brushed the skin of my lower back between where my shirt had ridden up and where my skirt had slipped down slightly to reveal the very edge of my lace underwear. I smiled, tilting my head back slightly to give him better access to my neck, but instead his lips left my skin. I pouted and heard him chuckle, but didn’t open my eyes for a few moments. When I did though, his face was startlingly close to my own.

“I believe some friends are waiting for you. You better run along” He smiled slightly breathlessly.

“Hmm, they can wait” I leaned forwards, but he simply stepped away from me.

“They’ll get suspicious”

“They already are”

“About that…?” He looked hesitant and my smile faltered slightly. “If you trust them and want them to know, then I want you to tell them. It’s not going to be an easy feat keeping our relationship a secret, and I want you to have some people you can… lean on if you need someone other than me.” His smile was slightly pained as he added that last bit but his eyes were honest. I grinned, feeling ecstatic that he trusted my judgement enough.

“Thankyou so much, Finn, I love you” I couldn’t help but squeal excitedly as I threw my arms tight around him and wrapped my legs around his waist. He chuckled loudly as I kissed his cheek tenderly.

“But you know I’ll always be here for you right, and you can always rely on me. You can tell me anything” He looked intensely at me, looking so handsome that my breath caught in my throat and butterflies swooped in my stomach. We’d definitely had our share of problems, and it wasn’t going to be easy from here on out, but I knew that so long as I had him and he had me that everything would be fine. I really did love this guy.

“I know, thank you Finn. And you know that works both ways. I’ll always listen and you can always talk to me, okay?” She looked at him in exactly the same way that he had her. He nodded, a smile playing on his beautiful lips as he pressed them to hers softly.

“I know babe” He whispered against my lips, holding me close. Babe? I definitely liked that one coming from his lips.

“And I really need to go” I told him, kissing his nose gently as he groaned, closing his eyes. I dropped my feet to the floor and let go of him, trailing my fingers down his chest as I pulled away, heading for the door. His hand gripped my upper arm and spun me around. I was shocked until his lips met mine again, moving against my mouth comfortingly.

“I love you” He whispered before pushing me towards the door gently. I giggled and headed out to meet my friends where they had been waiting for…oops, twenty minutes.

“So, what did you have to tell us?” Brogan asked, trying to break the awkward silence that had settled between Logan and myself. Ever since I’d breezed up to them in the parking lot with a huge smile and a pathetic excuse that involved me getting lost in the school that I’d been attending for the past three years, he’d been eyeing me suspiciously.

“There’s so much, I don’t even know where to start” I sighed, leaning back in the grass. We were sitting in a small circle beneath a tree in the park, and all eyes were on me as I picked the daisies trying to avoid their searching gazes.

“Start at the beginning?” Matt suggested, smirking stupidly at me. I rolled my eyes at him and took a deep breath.

“Okay… So this morning, you guys saw me and Mr Evans in the parking lot.”

“Flirting.” Logan said bluntly and I shot him a flat look, before it melted into guilt.

“Yeah, flirting” I nodded slowly in agreement “The thing is… Mr Evans and I are sort of…dating”
