Chapter 12 (mpreg)

The coffee shop is open again now but this time Xiao hired extra workers to avoid Aether from working too much. He did told Aether to rest but he insisted.

Everyday Xiao would always observe Aether taking orders while doing his job in the kitchen. It's been a month and you can start seeing a slight bulge on Aether's belly.

It is still unbelievable to think that it is possible to have a child with Aether. Too much is going inside him, excitement, worries and totally confused.

"Xiao, it's closing time. Let's leave early. I've told the worker to close the shop" Aether walked up to Xiao as if he knew what was going on inside his boyfriend head

"Oh.. yea sure. I'll finish in a few minutes. Wait for me outside!" Xiao ran into the kitchen, leaving his apron and tidying up the kitchen a bit before running out of the cafe.

Xiao had planned a dinner somewhere fancy. They couldn't went home and dress up due to lack of time. In the car it was quiet, Xiao is obviously anxious. He's not the type to do such a thing but he has to do more effort now.

"Xiao...what is it?" Aether was worried. Xiao seem distracted from the road.  "No nothing... we're almost there" he form a small smile to ensure Aether. He got a plan in his head...

They arrived and take a seat that has already been reserved. It was nice and Aether was ashamed since he's not wearing nicely as if the restaurant has a dress code

"It's okay...you look fine. No need to dress up" Xiao try to comfort his boyfriend but that's fine. He drag Aether to a room that they reserved with the meals prepared"for now lets just dig in"

Aether was genuinely touched. It looks pretty... the decorations and the meal looks tasty. They both take a seat and enjoy the meal queitly both lost in thoughts before Aether finally speak up

"Is there any reason...for this?"

Of course it's obvious. Xiao wouldn't suddenly take Aether out of nowhere. He's not a human after all. He gulped down his saliva before looking around making sure its just them and no one else

Xiao immediately stand up and walk over to Aether standing next to him. He can feel his muscles tenses up while Aether watch him with a small chuckle

"Do you need the toilet or something?"

"No..its just"

They stand, staring at each other for a while before Xiao kneel down and pulled out a red box. His hand was shaking and before he could even open to reveal the inside, Aether stopped him

"Is it what I think it is?"

The moment Aether speaks, it sent shivers down his spine. Does Aether not want such a thing?

"W- wait..do you not...its- its a ring. You-"

Xiao pauses when Aether gently pats him "no...i do love you but...I look horrible right now. You should tell me earlier so I can dress up"

Xiao sigh...a sigh of relief. He ended up opening the box either way

"Is it not to your liking...? Do you not want any marriage just yet?"

Aether shakes his head

"No honey, I want myself to look worthy enough when you propose to me so try again next time? I'll be waiting"

Aether was genuinely just trying to tease so Xiao can wait longer. He's flushed red the moment Xiao took out the red box and is just trying to stay cool right now

Though it still leave Xiao with questions and doubts. He stand up again and keep the box of ring away before looking at Aether's belly. That's their child. It's still unbelievable. How many months has it been?

"Do you need me to come to your checkup tomorrow?" Whenever he wishes to come with Aether for a checkup, he will refuse. He said he wanted to hide the baby gender from Ciao but that has nothing to do with a normal checkup...

Aether immediately blushed. Honestly a pregnancy checkup on a male is embarrassing and he doesn't wish for Xiao to see him while he's on it. Walking next to him with a huge belly is already embarrassing.

"N-no...I can go myself"

"Aether let me come just once please. I want to see our baby"

He sigh. Xiao is the dad so he has his right"sure you can come but you're going to wait outside"

"What's the point if I wait outside... I'll let you have fresh blood is that fine?"

"Deal"

Ouh. That was easy. Xiao wasn't expecting that. Is this some kind of pregnancy cravings

"Alright I'll hunt some down for you tonight" he got up ready to leave the restaurant and send Aether home but his hand was grabbed by Aether

"What about your blood...?"
