I woke up to the smell of chocolate cake. The sweet friendly smell, that full my house so often.
I grabbed a sweater and got out of my room.
" Morning, Willow!" Darry hollered from the kitchen.
"What's the special this fine morning, Chef?" I responded playfully.
Sodapop ran in with his hair ungreased and shirt half on.
"Darry, where's my nice jeans?"
"Ponyboy probably stole them"
Soda ran out of the room and I heard a thud from his room. He emerged a few minutes later with his jeans.
Darry came in with four plates of cake and eggs. Soda and I sat down
"Ahh, a Curtis classic." Soda chirped
He like his eggs with grape jelly, Darry liked his in a bacon, tomato sandwich while Ponyboy liked his hard boiled. I liked them with maple syrup and toast. We all liked chocolate cake. We normally ate about 4 cakes a week, what with all the gang eating it.
The door slammed open and Two-Bit happily marched in with his stained Mickey Mouse shirt on. Steve strolled in with in the minute.
