graduating from his cosmetology school in 2021, dal had been practically jobless, picking up gigs of doing wedding makeup and working in small, family owned makeup businesses. a new chapter of his life was opening up as he picked up a pen from the small cup on the desk, uncapping it.
he happily signed off on his part of the contract, writing down the date.

"you know what we discussed about work days. some days early shoots might be discussed and you'll have to show up if assigned. you'll be shadowing for someone until a position opens up for you. you start on february 17th. thank you for coming out."
dal nodded, sliding the paper across the desk. bowing, he picked up his bag and left the office, a happy smile on his face.
from this day on, he was being what he loved.
