Damien's P.O.V :
Driving I kept thinking of my little talk with Marline . This conversation was eye opening , it aroused questions more than answers . I always thought of marline as a part of a crime not a vvictum . She was raped, maybe I prejudged everything , after all that is what human kind specialize in.
In the past few days I've seen Marline more of a .... Human. , full of pain, a closed shell , rough, with many secrets but a human none the less .
She said that if we took the day off every time she has a break down. What did she mean by that ? Is there more? Is she tangeled with other problemes . And she said that she will only talk about what is relevent to the case no more . What is this ? What can be more cruel than rape well she didn't confirm this but any one with some brains would know it .Damn it What is wrong with the world ?
I know I told Marline we'll continue in an hour but my boss gave me a call he said I'll meet him in the fedral agancy in california . I don't know if there will be time in the day later but I don't think so .
As for my boss I don't know if I'm gonna tell him or not . Should I or not ? If I told him this si gonna be documented as a part of the case but if I don't well I might know more or something however if I told him he would give me a good advice or maybe not well I don't know what to do no more .
I parked my car and locked it and started heading to the main door .
I flashed my FBI I'd to the front officer before passing through to my boss's office .
Going in I found my boss on the phone he saw me and gave me a sign that he acknowledge me and will be with me in a second .
" Yes thank you ..... Fine bye " he said to the other end on the phone.
" Damien" he said looking at me " please take a seat " he started walking to me " so how is my best agent doing with the case " he said patting me on my back .
" Working on it " I said back
" Well how is it. , did she confess anything or gqve you any clues " he asked
" Yeah a little bit still a bit shaky though "
" Well? " He said
" There is the second in comand named the eagle " I said
" Ah the guy who has only one eye yet so watchfull " he said
" Yeah apparantely she knew him because he raped her " I said
" Shit " he said " well that puts things in new prosepactives " he said
" This girl is gonna be a hard one to break " he continued
'" Yeah I guess she is really afraid to show all the pain she have and she kinda hinted that there is more and much painful but I don't know what can be more painful than rap " I said
" Oh that's gonna be hard " he. Replied
" The harder is that she also hinted thatthere is more that is not related to the case " I said
" So you're saying that she might be in with another shit " it was more of a statment than a question
" Yeah however after your permission of course I think we shouldn't put this on the case now " I said.
" Ok fine sure but make sure to close this damen case already " he said ,
I was ready to take my leave when he said " oh Damien this is not only why I called you " so I sat back down
" Well Mr. William's personal assistant called to say that he will be attending the senoters and the white house gala , you know confirming the invitation however wasn't he supposed to be in the gala place five days ago how com he is still coming in " he said
" Oh you think he is hiding something ? " I asked
" It's just suspision " he said
" Yeah but he is a VIP in our goverment beside a really elite man my father actually know him
"yeah I know " he said sighing
" Come on he's a good one , charities , paying money for cancer kids , building hospitals , and helping the goverment by making new free projects " I said " so many good things "
" Exactly " he said back " however that's not our problem at all just concentrate on your case , I will not put it in the files just now do what you think is right " he said
" Thanks boss " I said standing up , while I was walking to the door he said " oh and Damien"
he said I turned my head his way " you're doing good , I trust you " he said with a formal and nice smile.
" Thanks boss " I said back
