I wrote this song back around November, so that was Autumn bahaha-

This is one hell of a crazy song. I always loved and adored this song, but now it just hits different. I never really thought that it would, or at least not anytime soon. It just means more than I thought it would when I initially wrote it.

I wrote this song a week after my Abuelo's passing. I was trying to go back to that hopeless romantic lyricism I once deeply wrote about back in 2020. With everything that had occurred,  I just wanted to just escape into that little world for a while, by using the exact writing technique I did back when I was 13. 

So 'Faded Daydreams' is basically about the longing of meeting your soulmate, knowing that they're out there, somewhere. They exist, and it may take a while to find them ofc and "waiting endlessly has become a bore". 

And when you find them, your eyes will whisper "have we met?" and across the room, their silhouette will start to make their way to you *coughs in enchanted by taylor swift* and you just have this familiar feeling, that that's them- that they're the 1 ✨ And how all the past heartbreak was worth it, cause every dead end street led them straight to you * coughs in aotgylb*

There's been dreams, and there's been daydreams, but they've faded. You can't recall their face, but you still got love for them. Those faded daydreams showed you a love like that and those exact faded daydreams brought you back-

p.s. this is supposed to be a dream-pop kind of song ( for ex. this love, mastermind, delicate etc. by taylor swift ) so it's not supposed to flow quickly or anything. i wrote it having a dream-pop melody in mind. just saying :)
