Harm Done - Not To Yourself

When confronted with a problem, remember it's a hindrance to something other than yourself. Have you been criticized behind your back – wasn't it only about your imaginary persona? Have you been hit by a car – isn't it barely your body? I will make you pay for it! Pay with what? I never claimed that my bank account couldn't be compromised and depleted, my possessions confiscated, my body bound, in pain, or disfigured. This way, if you desire to maintain your freedom of choice, no one else has the power to prevent it. Consider this: things were assigned to you to care for them. It's not up to you to decide how, when, and why you will need to return them.

Reflect: How would you react if someone stole something you own? Would you feel angry, and would that response be helpful?
