Asteria's POV

It's the next day, and we're going to see a doctor today. Demi mentioned that we needed to check on me to make sure my head injury was okay.

As a result, I, Demi, and Pàpà are presently on our way to the hospital. Demi was driving the car while I drew on my iPad and Pàpà read the news on his phone.

We arrived at the hospital and sat in the waiting room, awaiting our turn. I was once again occupied with drawing as pàpà and Demi conversed in Greek.

I need to learn this language.

The doctor announced my name and it was time to go.

I got nervous but Demi saw it and rubbed my arm giving me a reassuring smile.

"It's alright", he whispered and I nodded

"Come, Iris," pàpà said, and the three of us entered the doctor's cabin.

Demetrius' POV

(Their conversation is in Greek)

"Good morning Mr. Petropoulos", the doctor said as we shake our hands

"Who might this girl be", he asked looking at Princess who was standing beside me nervously

"She is my daughter, Asteria", dad told him

"Hello Asteria", he said to her

"He's greeting you", I told her

"Hello", she said with a little smile

"How come you're here today?", the doctor inquired.

"My daughter is a plane crash survivor. She took a pretty hard hit to the head, and I need you to check on her to make sure she's okay", dad said

"All right, we'll need to do some CT scans on her then", he stated as he stood up

"I need you to come with me Miss to do the scan", he told her

"Go with him, we are here only", I said and she nodded her head

He led her to another room, and after a while, the princess returned, accompanied by the doctor.

"The report will take an hour, so you can wait outside", the doctor explained.

"Alright", I responded, and we proceeded to the canteen since Princess was hungry.

"What do you want, Iris?", dad inquired

"Mhmm, french fries, and cheeseburger", she said after a moment's thought, and I laughed

She loves her french fries and cheeseburger.

Dad brought the same for the three of us. I had a cheese burger after so long, it was so delicious.

We passed the time in the canteen by sitting and conversing. Dad and I told her numerous stories about Greece, which she listened to closely.

But after a while, we received a call from the doctor notifying us that her results had arrived.

We returned to the doctor's cabin. Princess was seated with her iPad outdoors in the waiting room.

"What do the results say, doctor?", dad inquired

"First, tell me how she is still alive. It was all over the news years ago that your wife and daughter died, so who is she?", doctor said, and dad sighed

"It was all my fault, doctor; you've known us for years, which is why I'm telling you this. I hope you understand this", Dad added

"Don't worry, I assure you that not a single word will leave this room", the doctor informed him, and dad told him everything about the princess

"..... and we want to tell her the truth that she is truly my daughter", dad completed

"You told me she got a bad hit on the head, and I've reviewed her reports, which show she's still in recovery mode, and she also has amnesia. Her brain is steadily healing on its own. From the outside, she appears to be fine, but she is not. I'm sure she's suffering from chronic headaches", he speculated.

"Yes, she has headaches. She had one this morning as well, but I gave her painkillers", I explained.

"As I told you, her brain is healing, and as you mentioned, bringing her here is a little overwhelming for her. She is learning new things, which is exciting but also hazardous for her brain. As a result, I recommend that you take little steps from now on", doctor recommended

"What do you mean?", Dad inquired

"That is, don't tell her she is your real daughter. Instead, wait for her to recall her memories before telling her everything that has happened", he explained.

"I know it must be difficult for you, Mr Petropoulos. However, it is critical for her, particularly her mental health. Try to understand this. If you tell the truth right now, she might have a panic attack or worse, she might suffer from a trauma", he explained

"Okay, we won't tell her. We'll wait for her to recall her memories", dad said after some thought, and I nodded as well.

"In the meantime, look after her. She is too thin for an 18-year-old, make sure she eats enough good meals. And, absolutely, don't leave her alone, be with her so she doesn't feel alone. When I was completing her scan, I saw her flinching now and then, she is really anxious around new people. Make sure that she meets new individuals exclusively in your presence only. And, yes, I'm prescribing some pain killers for her headache, as well as some vital tablets that could help her", he continued, writing several medications on a piece of paper.

"Thank you so much, doctor. We really appreciate it", dad stated.

"Mr. Petropoulos, it's my duty as a doctor. You just take care of her and come back in three weeks to see if she has improved or not", the doctor stated, and we nodded

"Thank you, doctor", I replied as we stood up, shook hands, and exited.

We approached princess, who was still drawing.

"Iris", Dad said, and she looked up.

"Pàpà", she said, smiling

"Let's go, love", dad said as we approached the parking lot.

"What did the doctor say?", she asked as I assisted her in getting into the car.

"Doctor said my daughter is absolutely perfect but she needs to eat a lot of food and gain some weight", dad informed her

"And my head injury, is that okay?", she said, sticking her head between the front seats as she was in the backseat.

Dad gave me a look.

"Everything is fine with you, Princess. Don't worry, okay", I said

"Mmm hmm", she responded, returning to her drawing.

"Princess, did you know that dad's birthday is in two weeks?", I told her

"Yes. Rita aunty told me. But I'm upset at you, pàpà, why didn't you tell me that?", she pouted at him.

"I'm very sorry, princess. Since it's my birthday, why don't we go shopping for you?", dad said

"Are we really going shopping?", she said eagerly

"If my daughter desires", dad stated

"Please, let's go", she asked, looking at me

"Of course, princess, let's go shopping", I said as I made a U-turn towards the mall.
