I don't think speed dating is for me,
the game is too fast paced, you see.
Conversations always abruptly stop,
and true connections just can't pop.
I feel so rushed, with no time to think,
as each discussion comes to the brink.
We share stories, thoughts, and dreams,
but it all feels like more big schemes.
With all eyes fixed on the clock above,
we search for love with a few words of
praise and flattery as we attempt to win,
but true love takes more time to begin.
So, here's to those who crave a connection
but this isn't where you can find affection.
