Displaced Time

There's more to love than what we can see
beauty can help but it's not a deal-breaker
and yet I smile widely when thinking of thee
my passion evident without even a whisper.

No one can see it, but time continues to fly
soaring like a bird, sailing towards the sun
there's never enough, and no one knows why
we cannot slow it down, so have a little fun.

Our stalker is resilient, nothing can stop it
touching everyone, for death is undefeated.
Everyone fears the end, even just a little bit
it comes for us all; every man, lady and kid.

The key to get by is not to fret, such a waste,
so make do with today before we're displaced.
