Daring To Date

When I first saw her there was no doubt
for she was the fairest woman I'd ever seen.
So, I used the opportunity to ask her out
my isolation was a virus and she the vaccine.

She said yes and left me in the state of shock
I was so joyful it felt like I was going to burst.
On days like today I wish paranoia took a walk
as her company was water to quench my thirst

Our date is days away and yet still I wonder
will she show, was it all just an elaborate rouse?
I'm so nervous, afraid this big fool will blunder
it's just a film, I'm not asking her to be my spouse.

First dates can be tough on the nerves and heart
therisk is worth it if something great were to start.
