She girl ran as fast as she could, so that no one will track her down before she got to the place she believed Toji lived in.
The place was hollow, as big as a small sized village, but barren. There was no one outside. Not a single living soul.
She wandered around the place, before seeing bunch of men sitting around and drinking.
Yukiko desperately tried not being seen by them, since they seemed to be drunk and won't be much of help. No matter how quietly she tried passing by, the place was devoid of people, making it easy for anyone to be noticed.
"Hey you... yeah, you... let's have some fun, shall we?" A random man was coming closer to her
"I would appreciate it, if you told me where I could find Toji Zennin around here?" She uttered calmly, mentally preparing herself to be facing the men.
"So you are that monkey's whore, I see... even better... just imagining his distraught face, knowing his bitch was with us. That would remind him of his place..." She couldn't listen to any more disgusting words spilling out of him, so she punched him square in the jaw, feeling it dislocate. Yukiko jumped on top of him and gave him two more blows, before she heard a familiar voice.
"Yuki-chan, what are you doing?"
"This bastard seems to forget basic etiquette, so I am teaching him a little lesson." She said before punching him once more, fully making him pass out.
"He does run his mouth sometimes, but no need for you to be angry on my behalf. I can deal with this on my own." He explained carefully.
"Can't I just be your Prince Charming, let me deal with these guys, please. I need to vent my anger out." She said, kicking the other straight in to their faces too, knocking them out in one blow.
"They seem to be very weak. You are being picked on by these weaklings?" She asked Toji, as he admired the woman in front of him, enjoying the scenery she created for him.
"What happened for you to get so agitated?"
"The Head of our Clan finally went crazy. He is trying to set me up with his grandson, who is 8 years younger than me to before a baby factory for him." She angrily balled up her hands, her nails seeping into her own skin and breaking it. Toji took her injured hand in his and looked at the damage.
"Come with me." He just pulled the woman with himself, to the direction of his home.
There he treated her wounds and bandaged them up. Her knuckles were bloody as well.
As he was treating the wounds, he looked at the countless amount of scars littered on her small hands.
"So, what do I do, Toji-kun?" She plopped onto the bedsheets.
"There are some ways. Uhm, some women here just slept around, showing that they weren't pure for the wedding ceremony and escaped an unwanted marriage."
"You are forgetting the key detail, Toji-kun. They don't care if I am a virgin or not. After all they just want a child who would inherit the ability." She uttered confidently.
"This is going to make it hard then. I need a plan, I can just say that I am madly im in love with someone else. Or in the worst case scenario, I will threaten them saying that I will kill myself otherwise!" She smiled at her way of thinking.
'I am a genius.' She thought to herself, chuckling a bit.
On the other side, Toji was slightly concerned.
"Don't kill yourself. Who will be my dear friend then?" He leaned onto his knuckle and looked at her, eyes full of care.
"I won't kill myself of course. I will just threaten them. My existence is of use to them. And who truly wants to die?" She scoffed at the dumb his dumb way of thinking.
"There are some people, who have lost all will to live, due to many different circumstances... so, it depends on the person's outlook on life." He said, as if it was some passing by comment, non-deserving of any thought.
"You do think about deep things too, I see." She joked, kicking him lightly with with her foot
"And even you can be dumb sometimes." He replied to her insult with one as well, lying on the bedsheets next to her. The difference between their bodies was apparent.
"Hey! That was quite mean of you." She complained and rolled over closer to him, sat up and hit his arm. Toji just looked at her ciously and caught her wrist.
"You are so bold, yet so small and fragile at the same time." He said, making the girl blush.
"You know, no one has ever called me small and fragile in my clan. I am the tallest woman there and the only one to inherit Limitless. I've been trained by the best sorcerers since the ripe age of 5." She mumbled cutely.
"Yuki-chan, you are also the first one to ever hit me or threaten me and living another day." The corners of his lips turned upwards, making the girl laugh.
"A smile suits you, Toji-kun. I wish you would smile more." She made a small remark and lied on the bedsheets again, as Toji let her hand go.
"Then spend more time with me. You are the only one who males me smile in this hell of a place, he said, turning his body to her and placing his head on his hand.
The robe that had bee barely covering his chest, exposed it more, which made the girl blush once more.
"Cover up, you... perv." She covered her eyes in embarrassment.
"So our little Yuki-chan is very pure, despite shedding blood on a regular basis, I see." He made sure to tease her more.
"Killing curses and seeing almost a naked man are two completely different levels of purity." She turned her bad to him, unable to face the man.
"And lying with the said almost naked man in his bedroom, what would your father think?" He tried annoying her a little, pinching her side, thus earning a small yelp from the woman.
"Don't say it like that! You were the one who dragged me here!" She accused him, point her finger at his chest, as if proving a point.
"But you are the one, who blindly followed a man. What if it wasn't me and that man would've tried something with you?" He made a good point.
"But I followed you because it was you, Toji. I trust you!" She said with a bright smile. It seemed to have brightened up the whole room and made the man's heart skip a beat.
At that moment Toji had a second realisation. He might have been captivated by that woman a little too much.
