Lorelei

Ibinaba ko muna ang dalang paperbags para kunin ang susi sa tote bag ko. I'm here in Loki's unit. It's been 3 days since the semester break started. And I decided to pay him a visit to know what he's doing these days.

Baka natulog lang pala 'yon maghapon, o kaya ay nanood ng netflix. Malamang makalat na naman ang unit niya.

I pressed the doorbell twice to let him know that I'm here. Then, I used the spare key that he gave me to open the door.

Pagkabukas ay kinuha ko na ulit ang dalang paper bags saka pumasok sa loob.

"Loki! Gising ka na ba?" I called.

I looked around once I arrived at the living room. My forehead creased upon seeing his unit. It's quite unusual that his place is clean. I also peeked at the kitchen area and there's no such thing as used plates.

May himala ba? O sa sobrang bored ay naglinis na lang ng unit si Loki?

"Loki?" I called again.

I went straight to his room and knocked at his door, "Loki, gising na. I brought some food." I turned the knob and peeked my head.

Loki's not inside, nasaan na 'yon?

I came back at the living room. I almost scream when I saw Loki lying at the carpet near the couch. I didn't notice him earlier 'cause he's behind the center table.

I put my things down and immediately went to Loki.

Agad kong tinapik ang balikat niya, "Loki? Loki?" kinakabahan kong tawag sa kaniya. Halos maiyak na ako sa pag-aalala, kung ano-ano nang mga bagay ang naiisip ko, na baka may nangyari nang masama sa kaniya.

I sighed in relief when he groaned and slowly opened his eyes. Napakunot ang noo niya nang makita ako. "Lori?" he asked in his raspy voice.

He get up and I helped him, "Ano bang nangyari sa 'yo? Dito ka ba natulog? I was so worried"

He leaned his back at the couch, still sitting at the carpeted floor. "I remembered fainting last night, I don't know why" he stated. His nose scrunched, he held his head, looks like he's in pain.

I went closer to him, "Why? Masakit ba ang ulo mo?" bumalik ang pag-aalala ko nang tumango siya.

"Are you si-"

My word was cut-off when I heard his stomach growled. Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa, agad na namula ang tainga at leeg ni Loki.

"When was the last time you eat?" I asked.

He held his nape and looked away, "Since the break started?" he murmured.

I let an exasperated sigh and pinched the bridge of my nose. Kaya pala napakalinis ng kusina niya, ni hindi man lang siya kumain nang dalawang araw.

Tiningnan ko ang kabuuan niya, "Did you even try to take a bath?" I sniffed him and he went away from me. Napailing na lang ako, I stood up and crossed my arms.

"Take a bath first then eat your breakfast, I brought some food" I said in a calm tone.

"Y-you won't scold me?"
