Harry:

A couple weeks had passed since you went on the picnic and all you could think about was him. He ran through your mind constantly and you couldn't concentrate on anything else. Everything you looked at reminded you of him and you hated it. Finally, just a few hours ago, your wish came true. Harry contacted you. He said he was going to stop on by since he was out already to come talk to you. You hadn't a clue why but you agreed, nervously. You waited, impatiently, as you scurried around your house, cleaning everything and trying to make it presentable. After sitting on the couch for a half an hour, looking at a blank screen and letting scenarios float through your mind, there was a knock on the door. Almost like lighting, you shot up and answered it, feeling as though you seemed too eager. Your nerves made everything worse and you couldn't even control them. "Come in," you smiled, moving aside to let the boy inside. He seemed awkward, toying with his fingers and speaking quietly, a shy smile plastered on his face. "So, um, what's up?" You said, unsure. "Are we going to talk about the other day?" He suddenly said. Your eyes went wide and your body stiffened and you knew exactly what he was talking about. You decided to play it cool, loosening your body and leaning against the counter as he took a seat on the couch. "I don't know what you mean?"

"Yes you do (Y/N), we both know what I'm talking about. The day we went on a picnic with (Y/F/N). You were acting really strange and I think I know why." Again, your nerves returned, your heart racing ten times faster as your breathing took a toll on the heavier side. "Why?" You stuttered. "You don't want me to be with (Y/N/F). You think I'm no good for her."

"No, Harry-"

"And because you want me. Let's face it (Y/N), you are always a little different when I'm around and I guess I just never noticed until (Y/F/N) and I got together. That when it became even worse. Then, I started to observe more and got my conclusion." You swallowed back your nerves and your eyes darted to any spot in the room that wasn't him. How could he have found out so easily? How did you let him do that? What if he told (Y/N/F)? "I'm sorry..." You whispered, your head looking down. Harry chuckled, his fingers laying on his thighs as his smile widened, the dimples on his cheeks growing. "Don't be sorry (Y/N)! Really... it's just... well, I don't really like you like that. Don't get me wrong, you're an amazing girl! I just want to remain friends with you is all." His words shot you right in the heart, stinging you from the inside out. You nodded, looking up at him with the best forced smile you could manage, nodding again slightly as your eyes met his. You couldn't throw a fit and scream and yell in his face about how much you liked him, as much as you wish you could. "Friends it is." You whispered, more to yourself than him, the words backed up with sadness and embarrassment.

Liam:

Once you reached back home, later than evening, the first thing you noticed was the crumpled lyrics in the same spot you left them. Picking them up and walking over to the couch, you grabbed your guitar and began playing it again, belting the lyrics out as loud as you could, playing the guitar even louder. For some odd reason, you felt angry upon entering your house once more. You felt angry because you had to watch your best friend being all in love with her boyfriend, who has been the one you've liked for so long, and not even being able to do anything about it. You were angry because he was dedicated to her and not you. You were angry because you were the one who introduced her to him and now they're closer than you will ever be to him. You hate it with all of your body but hadn't a clue what to do, except for belt out lyrics. As you were reaching the end of the song, you heard your phone ring. You groaned loudly and placed your guitar down harshly, swiping up your phone and answering. "Hello?" You said sharply. "Hey!" Your best friend sounded through the phone. You rolled your eyes. Just the person I wanted to talk to. "Hey (Y/F/N), what's up?" You asked, trying to sound happy to be talking to her. "Nothing! I just wanted to ask about what happened before." Her voice was so calm and happy, like she doesn't know a thing-which she doesn't. It's disgusting. "What do you mean?"
