Harry:

You were invited by your best friend and her new boyfriend to a picnic, having you third-wheeling around with them. Of course you accepted the offer, thinking it wouldn't be that bad. You couldn't be more wrong. It was nearly torture. Not only did you have to watch your best friend be lovey-dovey with the boy you liked for months now. You always thought, how could she? But soon remembered no one knew of you taking a liking to this boy. You swore never to speak a word, not jeopardizing your best friend's happiness or relationship with her. But, today was almost the last straw as you were ready to burst any minute. You knew you needed to calm down somehow, so you strolled away from the couple, them hardly noticing, and laying yourself down among the grass and dandelions blowing in the crisp spring air. With your hands behind your head, you closed your eyes to the sounds of birds and wind. "Hey," you heard a voice not soon after you had relaxed yourself. Your eyes peaked open to see the boy laying himself down next to you. "Hey," you smiled, going back to your original, close-eyes position. "Everything okay?" He whispered. "Yeah, why do you ask?" You hadn't been awkward with talking to Harry at all considering he is your friend as well. Things flowed naturally with him. "You just seemed a little off today. Well, come to think of it, more so since (Y/F/N) and I got together." You shrugged, not answering him. You couldn't bring yourself to tell him your feelings, not now, not here. You had to hold it off, you had to spare her feelings. You just had to wait. Now wasn't the best time, and especially since she came and sat herself next to Harry, having the topic of conversation completely changed.

Liam:

Finally, the one day of the week, you had the house to yourself. It was quiet and empty, just like you enjoy it. You decided now would be a good time to play your guitar as you have been dabbling with some lyrics lately and haven't put them to words yet. You wouldn't like to think that this song has a certain someone behind the meaning, but you know it's true and you can't hide it. You refuse to admit it though, knowing it would just make the feelings deeper and henceforth, you tell yourself that this song is about all love in general. As you sat down at the couch, the lyrics in front of you on the coffee table, your guitar firmly in your hand, your eyes scanned the paper while your fingers began to strum some directionless chords. You had gotten through a large portion, happy with your progress and the sound you're making, someone comes knocking on the front door. Groaning, you get up to open it to see (Y/F/N) and none other than him. The infamous boy that has got your head spinning, butterflies erupting, and smiling breaking just at the sound of his name. Now, here he is, standing in your doorway with the sweetest smile you have ever seen. But, the kicker to it all, he was holding her hand with such force of a child and their mother in the parking lot. Your smile slightly faded, maneuvering your eyes away from the scene to look at (Y/F/N)'s eyes instead. "What's up?" You asked, holding the door and moving to the side to let them in. "We wanted to know if you wanted to get food with us, but it seems you're busy..." Your friend says, voice trailing off as she picks up your lyrics laying scattered among the table, taking a seat next to your guitar. Your eyes bulged, running to her and snatching the papers. "Oh, no those are nothing, I'm not doing anything. Food sounds good, when should we go? Now? Sounds perfect!" You quickly ramble, crumbling the papers into a loose ball and throwing it behind your shoulder, hitting the wall lightly and falling to the floor. Your friend looked puzzled at you, as did Liam before standing up. "Everything okay (Y/N)?" Liam asks, scrunching his eyebrows towards you. "Who, me? Yes, I'm fine! Let's go get food now!" You breathe, scrambling to grab your essentials and letting the guests leave first. Taking one glace back at your wrinkled work, your promised when you got back, you'd work on it. You wouldn't let it go to waste, but you wouldn't exactly debut it now either.

Louis:

Your aunt was having her wedding soon and-considering you and your best friend were practically family-your aunt invited her too. Of course, she just has to bring her befriend which couldn't be anymore worse for you since you've had feelings for him since as long as you could remember. He had shot you down once very long ago, saying he just wanted to be friends and deep down, you were in immense heartbreak but you agreed seeing as friends is better than nothing and here you are, years and years later still as friends. So, the three of you became a trio or more like a couple and a major pitied third-wheel, and this instance wasn't any different. You and your friend hadn't known how to dance for a wedding and decided it would be fun to take some lessons. Well, she dragged Louis to that too. You didn't mind, or that's what you told yourself. You knew yourself you just weren't going to say anything because, well, what is there to really say? It was a room of about seven people in total, mostly middle-aged couples. You felt out of it as you were the only one without a partner but, nonetheless, you continued as if nothing was different. "Okay, so we all got this move down? I'm going to show you an example of what it looks like with a partner. Can I use you dear?" The instructor pointed to your best friend as she smiled and nodded, stepping forward to let herself be danced around. "Everyone get with a partner and we're going to try this a couple times. I'm keeping this lovely lady because she's doing an outstanding job." (Y/F/N) giggled and blushed over at you as you smiled back, giving a small chuckle. Obviously, since there was no one else in the room you knew, you turned to Louis, his hand reaching out as if to 'ask for this dance.' You huffed an excuse of a chuckle and shook your head, smiling. He pulled you close and began to move as the instructor taught, earning a thumbs up from him. "Hey, I know that (Y/F/N) and I have been going out for a few months now, but how do you feel about it?" You cocked your head, looking up at Louis confused as his words left his mouth. His face was straight, looking for a serious answer and fast. You decided it's best not to question where this even came from. "It's cool, you're both happy so why wouldn't I be for you?" You answered. "Because I know you still like me." His words hit you like a lightning strike to the head. To say the least, you were shocked. "I can't possible see how you think that Tommo." You smiled but soon let it go as you looked up to see Louis was still as serious as before. You gulped, knowing that he knew and there really was no way of getting around it. You sighed, giving in. "Fine, maybe a little. But I'm not going to say anything-and neither are you-to (Y/F/N) because her happiness means more to me than a nonexistent relationship with you. Got it?" You said sternly, feeling a bit guilty as to how you came off but didn't budge, wanting him to know you meant what you said. "Sorry, I can't agree to that." He shook his head. "And why the fuck now?" You retorted. "Because I maybe like you too." He smirked back at you.

Niall:

Friday nights, the nights specifically for you and your best friends to hang out and catch up. A perfect representation of girl's night in and it made the weekend something to look forward to. Tonight, it was pj's, movies, and games; currently truth or dare. "(Y/N), truth or dare?" One of your friend's asked you. "Truth," you smiled, fairly confident. "Got any man candies in your life?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows with a giggle. Your confidence deflated with a slight gulp as your eyes darted to anywhere but her. You were glad your best friend wasn't in the room or you would have been nervously sweating by now. You suddenly shrugged, nonchalantly as if nothing was wrong. "No, not really." You lied. "Oh c'mon. Everyone has one, who is yours?" Your friend persisted, her face deadpanning. You shook your head, popping a chocolate in your mouth. "It's okay (Y/N), you don't have to answer," you hear a voice say from behind you as your best friend stood there, arms crossed across her chest. You were seconds away from answer a sweet 'thank you' until her serious face beat you to it. "Because I already know." She added. "Well I don't and I would like to," your other friend chimed in. You began to grow anxious, confused, and scared. Your mind was racing as were your eyes, back and forth between friends on opposite sides of the room. Did she really know? How could she have known? You never told a soul... unless she can tell? You couldn't think straight, wanting desperately for someone to say something. "My boyfriend. She likes Niall! She's been keeping it to herself for a bit now, I'm guessing. But her 'man candy' is my boyfriend." Your best friend practically spat. Well, now everyone knows. "How do you know that?" You stutter, mumbling but audible enough to be heard. "His name is written all over your notebook with hearts and shit." Your mouth fell open as you rose to your feet, getting slightly angry. "Why the fuck were you reading my notebook, (Y/F/N)?" You almost shouted. Her hands fell to her sides, fists balled. "I went to go look for some perfume in your room and the book was laying wide open on your bed! I couldn't miss it!" You could almost see the red in her face beginning to come about. Your other friend sat there, quiet and stunned at the sudden outbreak and watching it like a tennis match. "(Y/F/N), how could you go and even get close enough to read it?" You said, your words backed with more pain than anger at this point. "That's beside the point right now (Y/N). How could you not tell me you're crushing on Niall?" She asked, calming a bit. "Because I was trying to spare your feelings! You're my best friend and I rather myself be suffering on the inside than you because I put you first. But, I guess that doesn't even matter..." You shout, finally breaking and feeling your face get heated, slight tears prickling at the corners of your eyes. You stomp away, right into the bathroom, slamming the door behind you and leaving two shocked friends behind.
