The five of us came to stay at number five,
swiftly, we made its walls the walls of our hive.
As soon as we'd stepped foot inside,
the cottage already felt like home, that we confide.

We ventured across Upper Milovaig, went far and wide,
sat beside the lighthouse and watched the tide.
Gazed up above on a clear, starry night,
as the North Star shone, wasn't hidden from sight.

Then to Dunvegan Castle we trekked,
admired the art within it, pretty, perfect.
Other artists lived here too,
so we went to visit them under a sky that was blue,
they sold paintings, prints, ceramics and textiles.
Mesmerising, awe-inspiring,
their colours spiralling
before our eyes
of pastoral landscapes, and one of a sunrise.

So we bought souvenirs,
held them close to our ears,
as they produced melodies
of special Scottish memories.

Now we leave our small mark behind,
and have left things for you to find.
Enjoy your stay here, your nights and your days,
and remember to chase the sheep always.
