Elena sits down on the cafeteria bench while opening her surgical mask.
"A burger for me."
She orders.
After a few minutes her order arrives.
She washes the blood off her hand and sits down to eat.
Her hands and shoulders feel heavy. She just completed a 6 hour surgery.
The patient is in the ICU right now.
She may work for 24/7 but what irritates her is her superior. No matter how hard she works, it's always Sophia who is taking the credit.
"Being the daughter of the director of the hospital must be nice. How sad that I don't even have parents by my side to back me up."
Elena murmurs as she takes a big bite from the burger.

She changes her uniform and heads out of the hospital.
Her neck feels very stiff.
She looks at her mobile to check time when she thinks of calling Kate.
