What more is there to say? They played the game, they won the prize, and now they live their happy lives. Erik Destler lives again, and no longer is he a hallow form. But now he lives and breaths like us. The joy for him, and the joy for others.
No longer do the scars hold any death or sting for him. Angeline and Erik grew to live a happy long life. They saw three generations pass before they died. Erik died happy and content with the decisions he had made. Angeline died knowing her heart was right.
So much more they loved one another. The Masquerade was...a success!
