{~y/n pov~} {~month later~} "Bernard dear?" I said while picking up one of the twins while he was holding the other "yes my snowbell?" He looked up at me because he was sitting down, the way he looked at me made my heart want to melt he always made me feel beautiful and special "I realized we never had our wedding because we were always busy with work and you did make Curtis head elf but we never actually had a wedding because you were busy and it slipped over our heads you just gave me the ring-"
Bernard looked off into distance and it seemed like he thought about it "yeah you're right-" I just stood there awkwardly, after those eight years bernard did gain a little weight but I was fine with it i called it a 'dad bod' because most dads usually do have a slight body
"Snow bell?" I heard Bernard say I looked at him he smiled and chuckled at me "you keep zoning out are you okay?" He held my hand and I held his i nodded "yeah just thinking..." he looked at me "about what, dear?" He rubbed his thumb on my hand I smiled a bit and then I slightly teared up then he looked sad "come on you know you can tell me anything snowbell..." he looked at me and put his hand on my cheek and caressed my face with his thumb "what if things go downhill when we get married?"
He looked away and then looked at me "we've been together for eight years...and that's what you're worried about? Snowbell we're gonna be okay I promise you..." I looked at him and i sniffled then he teared up and then we put the boys in their cribs and then me and Bernard hugged for a while I cried on his shoulder he held me close and reassured me everything was going to be okay
Soon holly came home from school "hi mommy! Hi daddy! Grandma Carol said hi! And grandpa Santa came in and brought the whole class cookies! And he hung out with me at lunch! And I made a new friend today!" She smiled and put her bag to the side that was her dads but he gave to her i teared up again and Bernard noticed and so did holly they both hugged me and i sniffled "so, who's your new friend sweetie?" I smiled and put her hair behind her ear "his name is Joel! Joel Beineke! He's really cool we played in the snow together at recess and I scraped my knee but Joel helped!" Her face was red from mentioning him "well someones in love, huh?" Bernard said while pulling me close my waist
I giggled and holly nodded I kissed her head "no growing up too fast" i teared up again "gosh it makes remember how I held you in my arms after you were born..." I smiled and leaned my head on Bernard's shoulder "mama? Daddy?" She looked at us all sad a bit so I got worried "yes dear?" I got to her level and looked her in the eyes with love "a-am I ever going to grow my elf ears?..." then Bernard looked at me sadly and and then I looked at her "I promise you will don't worry...it took mommy some time to get hers, so the same for you..."
Then holly nodded and sighed and went to her room, then I looked at Bernard with a worried face he squeezed my hand "it'll be okay snowbell I promise it will" he kissed my head and I nodded "I'm gonna go see Judy and Abby and maybe curtis for a little help..."
Then Bernard nodded and gave me a small smile

Which made me smile a bit and then I headed on out I waved to every friend I saw and smiled even tho I was aching for holly deep inside, I saw dashers kids, his son jingle and his daughter belle I smiled at them and gave them carrots and went to see Curtis first since I know Judy was probably busy with the kids and I had an important question i went over to the work shop I saw my dad and walked over
"Dad, Have you seen Curtis?" My dad looked at me "uhhh I think he went to make sure everything was up to code in the bracelet section" I went to find Curtis "hey Curtis" I smiled and curtis looked at me and smiled back "hey y/n just the person I needed i to see but what do you need first?" I looked at Curtis "I need your help with holly..."I looked sad and worried, Curtis took my hand and we went to a different room "what's up y/n?" I looked at him "why hasn't holly grew her ears yet she looks more human out of anyone..."
