Though you had escaped, it doesn't fully mean you had found your moment of freedom very soon. Besides, this is all just child play to him when he can simply seek you out in his own "personal" way

He would blame himself for how stupid he was for letting you escape the safety he had given to you. Yet, even if he does carry most of the burden, don't you think it's a little unfair to not own up to your actions too?
It is quite selfish of you to be ungrateful for everything he had done for you, only to leave him without a proper explanation on why you did
He will find a way to get you back one way or another, he won't let this slide very easy that's for sure
