"Mommy, look! I found shells." Brielle happily said when she saw me.
"Wow. They.re so pretty, baby." Hayag ko dito.
"I have many pa po doon. My new ate's helped me to collect these."
"That's good, baby. Just take care okay? Stay on the seashore. Huwag kang pupunta sa may malalim." paalala ko sa kanya.
"Yes po, mommy." She said, then ran again papunta sa kambal na nakaupo sa pwesto nito kanina.
"Hi." Napatingin ako sa bagong dating. Kung maka-hi naman kasi parang hindi kasama.
"Where's Reese?" I asked him. Tinuro niya ito, papunta din sa pwesto ng kambal at ng kapatid niya.
"Where's London?" He asked habang tatawa tawa.
"Room." Simpleng sagot ko. Tsk. Naalala ko nanaman yung pagtatalo namin kanina.
What's her problem ba about my clothes? Am I wrong? We're at the beach. It's so normal to wear such suit.
Then what? Siya pa yung galit and she even called me by my name!
"I think I already know why she's pissed." He said habang nakatingin sa girlfriend niya.
"Huh?" I confusedly look at him.
"You're about to expose too much of your skin." He stated.
Isa din ito e! Kinuha ko yung inumin ko at uminom muna bago nagsalita.
"Why? Isn't it normal to wear two piece at beach?"
"It is, but for London? It's not." He answered at tinignan ako.
"Look at the twins and my other girl cousins. What did you noticed at them?" He asked.
Tinignan ko ang mga ito. Ano bang meron?
"I don't get you."
"No one is wearing a one piece or two piece."
Tinignan ko muli sila. Yeah, tama nga siya. Why? Conservatives ba sila? Bawal ba silang magsuot ng ganon?
"Does your family a conservative?" Tumawa ito sa tanong ko.
"No, no. Of course not. It's just that... London really hate when one of her love ones is exposing too much of their skin. Whenever we're here, no one is allowed to wear such suit. As you can see, sa mga suot nila." Paliwanag nito.
"Why?"
"Let's just say... Something happened to her that cause her to be like that." He seriously said.
Damn. Heto nanaman ako sa pagiging curious ko.
"What happened to her?"
He just smiled. "I can't tell. Ayaw kong pangunahan ang kapatid ko."
"Damn you, Luis. You just made me curious." I said, then rolled my eyes.
He laugh. "Hintayin mo nalang na siya ang magsabi, pero sana kapag nagkwento na siya, huwag mo siyang lalayuan."
Mabilis akong tumingin sa kanya ng sabihin niya yon.
"What do you mean?"
Bumuntong hininga ito at tumayo na. "She called me bago ka makababa. She said na bantayan raw kita kasi ang pangit ng suot mo. Now I know kung bakit siya inis. I think mas mabuti kung magpalit ka nalang ng damit o patungan mo yang suot mo. Hindi mo gugustohing magalit ang isang London, Harper. I'm telling you. Even my whole family is afraid of her kapag nagalit yon. Intindihin mo nalang muna siya ngayon kung willing kang pakisamahan talaga siya. I know my sister. She can let you do anything you want, just not in such thing." He said with smile at tinuro pa ang suot ko, bago lumapit sa mga pinsan at girlfriend niya.
