The Great Depression

Ever since the Cullen left I have been having bad panic attacks in my sleep and with momma having nightmares I barely get any sleep, and I have feeling empty and sad.

Momma feels the same way but she tries to hide it. She takes me to the park but I just sit on a bench and watch the other kids play. It reminds me of Jazz and Rose.

Sam, Paul, Jared (I finally found out his name) comes by and hangs out with me it makes me feel a little better but it doesn't fill the empty feeling.

....

Halloween came I just sat in my room with the door looked and watched kids go trick or treating.

Grandpa, Sam, Paul, Jared, and momma tried getting me out of my room to go trick or treating but it didn't work. So my whole Halloween I just sat in my room.

....

Winter came and it snowed, the snow was pretty but I didn't go out and play in it.

Soon it was Christmas, usually I would get excited because it's my favorite holiday but this year felt different. Momma still has nightmares but grandpa is used to them so he sleeps through the screaming but I still get up and help her.

Christmas day I sat in the living room watching momma and grandpa open presents, mine are is a pile not even opened I just placed then in the closet later that day.

Spring came it was always raining Paul took me to the beach in La Push hopeful to get me to play with him, but I just sat there looking out at the ocean and it's beauty.

Grandpa threatened to send momma and me back to Auntie Renee and Unlce Phil, so momma went out with her friend and I went out with Jared to Seattle and shopped.

He brought me some art supplies. After shopping we went to La Push beach to draw, I sketched I wolf and Jared wolf whistled at in and he sketched a bear with sunglasses.

Momma came into my room "come on we're going to see my friend Jacob" I slowly nodded and got my rain boots on and putting some of my hair into a bun, grabbing my coat and bag on the way out.

When we got there a guy with long hair came out of a shed, he has the same quilete look as Sam, Paul, and Jared has black hair (just his is long and theirs are short), dark brown almost black eyes, and the russet skin tone "BELLA WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LOCA!!" he yelled while picking her up and spinning her around in the air.

Momma's eyes lit up and she SMILED a real smile not the fake one she puts on in front of me, it made me me giggle, when I did they both froze.

Bella and Jacob were playing around when they heard a tiny giggle both froze but for different reasons.

Bella froze because she has heard Carlie giggle since the Cullen's moved, and Jacob froze because 1 he didn't know anyone else was here and 2 the sound just made him freeze.

                       Carlie's-pov

They both just stared at me in dumbstruck expressions, I quickly stopped and frowned 'did I do something wrong?' Momma took the attention off of me which I was thankful for.

"Hey, I got you something." She went to the back of the truck and pulled the tarp off, under the tarp were two motorcycles in very bad condition.
"Wow scrap metal, you shouldn't have" the boy Jacob said with a smile "Well I thought they'd be more to fix then their worth so, I thought if I had a mechanical friend..."

"ah me as the mechanical friend" 'I feel like I'm intruding and it makes me uncomfortable I'm just going to go wait in the truck' I went to the truck, got into my bag and started reading while I wait.

I got through a chapter when momma came and took me to the shed where the motorcycles are.
